For a team that Sarkisian says "won't major" in the transfer portal.... boy, do we have a lot of KEY positions to fill in the wake of departures heading into the "all in on Arch" season.

It's becoming inevitable we're going to have more foundational (starting) pieces come out of the portal heading into '26.

I remain intrigued by the market for USC LB Matai Tagoa'i.

Was someone Texas liked out of high school, but fits more of the developmental category than instant impact. He was listed at 6-4, 205 lbs on USC's official roster. On top of that, he only saw 35 snaps.

But he had 25 offers in HS and was ranked as a top 100 player in the class.

Some of my favorite film last year. I think he’s worth a flyer!

Agree to disagree.
Leavitt is overrated af.

Nice to know you had the foresight to know Borrow would be so good literally before anyone else did. I bet you made a killing on your heisman bet. You don't like Leavitt, cool. Go rewatch the Texas ASU game and tell me he isn't an escape artist. You can't. We all watched it live. He was Houdini.

If we go to 105 I think it’s valuable to take several depth pieces like him. I hear you, but his film stuck out to me and I hated to whiff on him last cycle.

Need game experience not someone with limited snaps

Moore is the only starter who is leaving? What KEY players have left?

Why are we acting like Leavitt hasn't started two seasons already?
Can we stop with the Burrow comparison just because a mid quarterback is going to LSU?
Jayden Daniels had injury problems at ASU and when he transferred to LSU he started putting in 12+ hours a day, practicing with a VR headset, cleaning his diet, he made most of his improvement because he got serious about football and he was finally healthy.
Sam leavit is overrated. Doesn't matter if he goes to LSU with Kiffin's offese, he is not as good as Dart, he is not as good as Chambliss and he's probably not even as good as Matt Corrall.
You guys watched one game he had against Texas where he was hard to bring down and think he's Tom Brady navigating the pocket.
He's Marcel Reed with the ability to not piss down his pants when he gets rushed.

Don't know why so many people here are defending a guy that's getting paid by his current team millions and he's leaving just to make more millions when ASU could easily be a place where he could have success.
We all remember the Jayden Daniels locker room video where his teammates said they didn't want him cause he sucked.
Nobody wanted Burrow besides Ed Orgeron.
Sam Leavitt is an overrated player who thinks the grass is always greener and is trying to make 1 or 2 million more at another school.

Not replying to anyone else about this cause if your whole argument is "Hey but Joe Burrow didn't have a good 2018 season!" then what's the point?

Cool, I'm not a leavitt fan. Posted the article because you acted like burrow was doing all the things he did in his senior year prior to that which isn't true. Do I anticipate Leavitt to improve like Burrow? No.

Was Burrow as good as Leavitt as a freshman and sophomore? No.

No one anticipated Burrow developing like he did, I've never seen a case like his at the collegiate level. Merely average then a senior year on a GOAT level.

Instead of Joe Burrow this is gonna play out exactly like Mateer at WSU did.
Everyone's argument was that Cam Ward went from WSU to Miami and got drafter number 1 overall so it must happen the same with Mateer.

Kinda exxagerating because there is no way a Kiffin offense is ever gonna be that bad, but I would bet a lot of money that someone that started that many games isn't suddenly gonna turn into 2019 Joe Burrow.

Please tell me where did I ever said that Burrow was "doing all the things he did in his senior year prior to that".

You whole argument is "Well Joe Burrow did something that has never and probably will never happen again in football, so it must mean that Sam Leavitt is gonna do it again" what are we talking about?
Good day, useless to argue about this kind of stuff especially when the counter argument is so illogical.

This exactly, some just let their personal opinion get in the way of facts.

I'm sorry but I'll have to strongly disagree on that comparison.
Leavitt is much closer to Mateer than he will ever be to Burrow.
Burrow had and still has an amazing instinct both in the pocket and in his downfield vision in finding zones and "pockets" of free space to attack the defense. That's what made him great, an uncanny vision/processing/memory accompanied by a very accurate arm. He manipulated defenses with his eyes.
Leavitt is a gamer, he's slippery, he'll never be the processor and pocket passer that Joe Burrow was/is.

Here. He really didn't show any of that until his senior year.

Are you two guys genuinely trolling me or what?
Facts?
I'm the one claiming that a guy that started 2 seasons already and is looking to go away for more money isn0t gonna have the same mindset as Burrow or Daniels to even make it possible to have such a jump in development and your whole argument is "One guy in history did it before so yeah Sam Leavitt is gonna do it"
