    Knowing what we know about Goosby's status... non-contact knee injury, left the field, walked off on his own, awaiting MRI... Would you rather: a) Take your chances, let the diagnosis play out as it will, see where he's at and how many games he'll miss. b) Take a deal right now where he's guaranteed to miss the entire regular season, but also guaranteed to be 100% for playoffs if Texas makes it.

    Reading the tea leaves, seems pretty obvious Texas would prefer to mask Ty’Anthony Smith’s absence under the guise of the flu for the time being (which Smith could very well have - thus making it easy for nobody to be lying) while they try to avoid a public disruption in the middle of camp. Gerry likely has the inside scoop on what’s going on with him, but was told in confidence and can’t reveal it (yet). Most plausible scenario is he’s fallen behind on the depth chart - it’s not illness, it’s not family, and the team wants whatever it is kept hush. The hallmarks of a holdout. I can’t see them being able to contain this longer than 24-48 hours. We’ll probably know what’s up by Monday. My best guess.

    R.I.P recruiting out of high school. When Sark said Texas wasn't going to major in the portal, it was coming from a place of luxury - as though the portal would continue to be used to augment the roster rather than replace half of it. How can you even be excited about a commitment in the '27 class? Easton Royal's a free agent with some team merch and a safety net.

    Let me just add that I'm also a hockey guy. Lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Original 6 franchise, haven't won a championship since 1967. You ain't see NOTHIN'.

    Ah man, it's more of a societal thing than a specific community thing. Every sport, every fan base. There's just no getting around it on the internet. It's heightened right now in college football with all of the unprecedented turnover and state of limbo in the portal. That said, OTF does a better job than anywhere of making sure the cream always rises to the top. It's good to be in touch with the state of panic / negativity during this insane portal season. We'll all remember this. Just keep a level head and pay attention to the guys who are doing the same. There's a ton of knowledgeable fans in here who know their stuff and keep it on the rails.

    Extremely disappointed the live stream only went 2 full hours tonight. Have my pajamas on, was ready to pull an all-nighter right through to coffee & football. I think we need to talk about the definition of "all in".

    For a team that Sarkisian says "won't major" in the transfer portal.... boy, do we have a lot of KEY positions to fill in the wake of departures heading into the "all in on Arch" season. It's becoming inevitable we're going to have more foundational (starting) pieces come out of the portal heading into '26.
