CHorn427 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Said Texas was the only team that lost to a team that hadn’t been ranked in the CFP committee’s rankings. And used it as a major justification point for Texas’ exclusion. This is a flat out lie. Bama lost to FSU, that had never been in the committee’s rankings AND was proven on the field to be a worse team than Florida. Yurachek is Arkansas’ AD. No anti-Texas bias there, I’m sure! That nice little tidy statistic is a flat out lie. Texas should honestly demand that Yurachek make a public statement correcting his initial statement to Texas was one of TWO teams that lost to a CFP unranked team. It actually drastically changes the picture. Not saying it gets Texas in, or that Texas should be in. But the CFP chair should NOT!!! be issuing untruthful statements about Texas. And if they are truly misinterpreting and misrepresenting data this badly, those committee members should be replaced. 8 Quote

Alex Butler Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago This is the same person that said they don’t have the NIL package to compete at Arkansas. He’s an a$$ but hey, they’re going to make whatever argument they can to get out of Texas getting in or considered. The FSU loss is worse plus common opponent to Bama we beat on a neutral field handedly and they lost at home. ND doesn’t have a quality win but 2 quality losses so they should be in?!?! Makes no sense. They clearly just don’t want to admit that they want Texas in but they won’t give it to them because they have 3 losses. 3 Quote
CHorn427 Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago (edited) How is the Vandy loss to Texas CLOSER than the score indicates????????????? Vandy was down 10 with 33 seconds left!!!!!!! The last time they had a chance to tie was their first possession of the game!!!!!!! Texas had a chance to tie the Florida and Ohio State games in their LAST possessions of the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But Texas got “dominated” in those games??????????? gaAaAAaAH!!!!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Edited 4 hours ago by CHorn427 1 Quote

So we had a bad game against Florida running the ball and turned it over so we’re not a playoff team? Blow U and UGA both had gifts from the refs against Auburn that helped win those games so should we count those? OSU had 130 or so fewer yards than us so they got dominated too right? Such BS then you add in the ACC “champions” and G5 or two G5 over us? Get outta here with that crap. Edited 4 hours ago by Alex Butler 2 Quote

CHorn427 Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago @Bobby Burton I really think this needs to be routed up the chain of command to Sark and CDC. They need to demand that the CFP acknowledges Texas was not the only team “in consideration” that lost a game to a CFP unranked team. For all we know, this committee might be inept enough not to realize Bama also lost to a CFP unranked team Quote

By the way Texas is also the only team to beat 3 teams ranked in the top 10 of the CFP at one time and still ranked in the top 14. So tell me again about the Florida and OSU losses? We had to play Florida in conference but we didn’t have to go to OSU (a game that actually should have been Michigan at home but was moved graciously by us because Fox wanted that game) to play at all. We could’ve just stayed home and played a nobody, then we’d be in the playoffs and probably playing for the SEC title again. Edited 4 hours ago by Alex Butler 3 Quote

We wouldn't be in this position were it not for FOX and BigXII. The BigXII is worse than the clap. 2 Quote

You’re absolutely right about what Yurachek said — what a buffoon; The fact that he's in charge of this inept committee says everything. It's also noteworthy that he and his followers use that statistic to justify their failed rankings, yet they overlook the reality that Notre Dame and Miami have just two combined wins against teams currently ranked in the CFP Top 25, while Texas has three. Additionally, Notre Dame and Miami have combined only faced four teams ranked in the top 25, compared to Texas, which has faced five. Quote
TexasOnTop Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago Were any of the teams Miami lost to ranked by the CFP this year? Louisville and SMU Quote

We aren't breaking any news here with how we stack up to any of the other teams in playoff consideration. Quote
