CHorn427 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago They will play Michigan! Please God let it be! Would also like to see the SEC execute a holy war on Notre Dame 2 Quote
Texasborn91 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) They won’t be punished for a loss to a team they already beat. Edited 4 hours ago by Texasborn91 Quote

You are probably right but this is another bad loss for them and when comparing resumes to Texas they should fall below. If the game was competitive I would feel differently but they got dominated 4 Quote

Not punished but another data point for where a team is today, not then but now. Florida State lost their QB last season and was reassessed with the new data point. 2 Quote
SB21 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Yeah as much as we wish it would happen they are t gonna lea e out BYU or Bama and we can all laugh at the “best teams only get into the CFP” crap with those two, Tulane and JMU getting in instead of us. Crazy. Quote

Red Five Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago For some reason getting the sh!t kicked out of them one day before the selections are made looks better to the committee than Texas losing in August at Ohio St. by one score. Because otherwise the resumes are very similar, with the edge probably going to Texas. 1 Quote

TheContractor12 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago They have 3 losses, we have 3 losses. They have 1 bad loss, we have 1 bad loss. our bad loss, kills their bad loss. They just lost to UGA neutral by 21, 14 is the closest it got in 4th. We lost to UGA on the road by 25, closest it got in 4th was 4 points. They lost to 0u in Bama by 2. We beat 0u, neutral site by 17. they beat Vandy at home by 16. We beat Vandy at home by 3, 24 pt game in 4th. Bama SOS 11 Texas SOS 8 we should get in Quote
David Latiolais Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Having a 4 team bye is the real issue with the playoffs. Need to get rid of the conference Championship game and just go to a 16 team playoffs. And the top 16 ranked teams get in. Edited 2 hours ago by David Latiolais 2 Quote
ArizonaLonghorn Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'm guessing Notre Dame and Miami get the last two spots, Bama and Texas are the first two out ... SEC ain't gonna like it if that comes to pass. 1 Quote

David Latiolais Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I thought the conference Championship game was not supposed to affect the two teams playing? They're not supposed to be punished for playing in the championship game? Quote
GoHorns1 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Texas whipped Texas A&M, Texas A&M beat ND Texas whipped OU, OU beat Bama BYU got whipped again by Texas Tech. Who has BYU beaten that is currently ranked? Bye bye, Bama, ND, BYU! HELLO TEXAS Quote

They're not supposed to be punished for playing in the championship game? This whole acting like there is Supreme Court level precedent for these committee decisions is dumb. We’ve literally had one year of precedent in the 12 team system. No team that was in the field got penalized last year from the CCG outcomes, yes. Then again, no team that was in the field lost their CCG by more than 8 points. ISU was on the cusp of the CFP, got smacked and dropped two spots in the final poll. So there is precedent for teams moving down after getting smacked in a CCG. Quote
