We all know college football makes a TON of money from all kinds of avenues. Winning being the main source of that income. We also know Texas has more money than God. Do you think we have been too "principled" in how we have handled the portal so far this year? When do we just throw caution to the wind and understand Nattys get everyone paid, the University more than anybody? (copied from dead thread) Texas has not been too principled. 5 Quote

Strong was still a terrible head coach. I have rewatched every game this season. The OL Flood put on the field for most of the season is inexcusable. I've been a big Sark fan after being very skeptical when he was hired. I'm afraid the loyalty to Flood may end it for him here eventually. I just want to win. Hell has frozen over, I completely agree with everything u said there 😆😆😆 Quote

I think they did some big contacts with Simmons, etc. last season that was for 2 years. No. Texas historically has not done multi-year deals. 1 Quote
McCluskey Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Extremely disappointed the live stream only went 2 full hours tonight. Have my pajamas on, was ready to pull an all-nighter right through to coffee & football. I think we need to talk about the definition of "all in". 1 6 Quote
drwhitesaftb Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Bobby does Texas have a designated scouting department to watch tape on players during the season? You keep saying these other schools are getting players from small schools, acting as if these players aren’t as good. Trinidad Chambliss was D2. Ryan Flournoy WR for the Cowboys SE Missouri state, there are draft picks at every level that become good players. Why aren’t we attempting to find those guys? Quote

No doubt about it. But where do the majority of impact portal players come from? P4 schools. And yes, Texas has a fairly large scouting department and they look at everybody. 7 Quote
