Realist Horn Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Seaton isn't coming - Texas should cancel the visit because there is no where to put him. Take those efforts and get an inside guard with experience and best players available at other positions. Build your depth. 3 Quote

Yeah, I saw it now says they are on the prowl for an IOL...I am sure that opinion changed after speaker with sources, but it doesn't make sense to construct a roster with 4 tackles making $1mil+ each when you only start 2 of them. 2 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago UPDATE: The calculus with Seaton has clearly changed with the signing of Melvin Siani. While I can't say Texas is completely out of it, the thought process has changed. Siani and Goosby are both tackles. Seaton is a tackle. I can not sit here and tell you with 100-percent certainty that Texas is out of it with Seaton, as some are reporting. But I can tell you the calculus has absolutely changed. 13 1 Quote

It only makes sense Bobby. Go spend on needs/depth that will help this year. 2 Quote

Oskies1279 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm ok with losing out on seaton. We got another solid Tackle in Siani or possibly even a guard. As long as the line is shored up then I'm good. So far it's playing out that way. Just another starting interior OL or maybe 2 2 Quote
Realist Horn Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) If Seaton wanted to come to Texas, he shouldn't have waited so long...if he gets in early enough, Texas could have made an investment. Instead something almost as good came in with a much lower price tag. Edited 1 hour ago by Realist Horn 4 Quote
Bevohorns Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I am fine not getting Seaton but where are the elite guards we are supposed to land ? they dont have much time to enter Quote

Bunk Moreland Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Great point by Rod B on the livestream that we may be witnessing an evolution away from Flood’s “large humans” philosophy to “athletic (and still large) humans” on the OL going forward. I’m all for it. Most of the enormous OL recruits who have cinder blocks for legs simply have not panned out. 4 Quote

Thank you for reiterating this because I was scratching my head over here trying to make sense of the Siani signing. 1 Quote
