This is something that has to be at the top of every schools list to fix.  These young men are being led to slaughter with lies.

I disagree, it's on the players that this is happening. Everyone hated that the colleges and all that, had the power. Now the players have the power and it's a sh*t show. While the supposed ruling body sits back and does nothing because it's scared of a lawsuit or something lol.

You cant enter the portal without eligibility.  These players are being told they can get more in the portal, go out trying to get more and the places they want to go are being filled with players that arent demanding ad much ir are deemed higher value targets.

D2 players are probably being replaced with d1 players willing to step down and d3 players they sre willing to role the dice on.

The portal is littered with D2, D3, walk ons, and fringe D1 players cut from their previous squad. Those are the guys not finding homes and football just isn’t their thing.

Guys who can play that get talked into the portal are still finding homes even if the grass isn’t greener.

If you think that is a problem worth addressing I won’t argue that but there isn’t a big “homelessness crisis” due to the portal. The portal may be shining a light on the natural churn that always existed at the lower ranks of the sport.

I disagree to part of your disagreement. Yes, the players have the power now BUT their agents/uncles/advisers are the ones convincing these young men that they can get them more money regardless of what the player has done.  Why is that happening? Because the agent/uncles/adviser makes more money for themselves.

This OL recruiting by us has been nothing short of pathetic thus far. If we really do have Lynch coming and Sark and Flood knew that this whole time, hats off to them but honestly that seems extremely unlikely. The one position that ended your season and you do the least about it in the portal.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions but @Gerry Hamilton is making the podcast nearly unwatchable. Chastising the fans for questioning and complaining about not shoring up the inside of our disastrous oline last year when it was priority number one is just too much. Especially when week one of the portal window was all about the “2-3 OL acquisitions” that we needed at guard. Not that we were good at OL and the redshirt freshman could be the answer. Could a redshirt freshman like one of the Coleman twins be the answer? Of course. Do we know they will be? Absolutely not. And if anything was learning last season it was that all benefit of the doubt needs to be removed from the offensive line roster this coming season.  The freshmen on this roster were assembled by the same staff who thought Stroh, Neto and Brooks were the solve at LG last season. They are the same staff that just flushed Cruz, Kibble, Neto, Stroh and Brooks from the program. So forgive us if we don’t think the projects along the redshirt freshman OL are the answer to start against Ohio State in 7 months.
