I would say Brandon Baker is a much better player than majority of the fan base believes.

They left out Jelani McDonald, Raleek Brown and Hollywood Smothers too. I doubt Baker goes in the 2027 Draft.

If he cleans up the penalties he is.  Definitely has the physical tools and a bit of potential that hasnt been unlocked imo.

McDonald is a possible top 3 round pick for sure.

Brown is not. Smothers not either for me. Those guys aren't in same stratosphere as Baugh, Lacey, Hardy and Isaac Brown.

Yeah, I wouldn't mistake Brown/Smothers for Baugh or Hardy, but the post is just about Longhorns being drafted no? Not necessarily about Longhorns being drafted in the first 2-3 rounds? If it's about Longhorns being drafted, Brown and Smothers should be in there, though they aren't first 2-3 round guys. But hey. No one thought of Matthew Golden as a first round WR while he was at UofH.

Regardless, Raleek and Smothers can be very effective at the college level if the play calling is adroit.  They well may not be durable enough for the NFL.

Smothers will be a name by the end of the year if he stays healthy. Brown is pretty much the only proven guy on our team with that level of make you miss. Just hope he doesn’t get Silas Boldened in this offense.

He needs to prove that he’s a high-level receiver and not just a high-level athlete before he warrants an elite draft grade imo
