tfoster40 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I think the 6 bowl games could help a 11-1/10-2 team who has played no one get exposed and maybe put a more worthy team in. Having rivalry weekend not on thanksgiving weekend would be weird and I don’t really like that. Just curious what some yall think about this. 4 Quote

All Gas No Brakes Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I actually like the format he’s proposing. It’s not perfect, but it’s a lot better than what we currently have. Somewhat similar to the format that John Gruden proposed, with the idea of having play-in games in addition to conference championship games on the same weekend. Quote

Yeah, his main points are getting the season started & finished quicker with the national championship game always being at the Rose Bowl on January 1st w/ the portal opening on the 2nd. He also wanted to eliminate the disadvantage the teams that qualify for conference championship games deal with while those not good enough to play in their conference championship games get a free week to rest. Jc Dobbs Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The current CFB season format just doesn't feel like it's the best college football could offer. Mainly the Championship game happens too late after a long season and the conference championship games seem to only be important to the teams that need to win those games or miss out on the playoffs. Given the current "leadership" of CFB and the demands of the BIG Ten, I'm not optimistic that we'll see significant changes in the near term future. Quote
