Schlossnagle talks Jonah Williams plan for spring

The plan for Jonah is to get to live at bats next week. Folks are excited about Jonah's contributions to the diamond this year.

He is fully healthy, by the way.

We had a quarterback a number of years back that also threw a perfect game for the Horns. He was instrumental in our making 3 straight CWS's. Not to mention, helped us win our second natty in football.

IMHO, I think we should make sure Jonah Williams plays both sports if he's of a mind to do so.

His son helped us win a CWS too. I often wonder if another family had a more cross-generational on-field impact than the Street Family. I can't think of another father-son pair that compares in UT history.

He's not going to make much of a difference in 2026 in football. That's our best chance to win it all with Arch. It's better for him personally and Texas to concentrate on baseball. He can seriously contribute to a title there.

This goes back aways but Ernie Koy Sr.  was a really good athlete at Texas and so were his sons Ernie,  Ted and I think maybe one of their sons.

James Street wasn't the only one, though.

Bobby Layne threw two no-hitters at Texas, won 35 games, was a four-time All-SWC selection and led the Longhorns to three SWC titles.
