It has to be more, right? There was a video with Vic playing tag with Booker at practice during the tournament. It looked like, for the most part, the team came together, and moved past the Vandy game. Maybe it was all for Rori, but it is concerning that they don't want to stay for Booker.

Wow I am stunned by the departures. I’m sure Vic is going to have to seriously look at the way he coaches today’s athletes. I am assuming these leaving is more about that then getting more money from somewhere else.

This has been my hunch since Vic's meltdown... the WBB version of "Can't win with 'em, can't do it," by Bears' Mike Singletary.

IDK, but being divorced and the father of a daughter...I think you probably have to coach female athletes differently.

We are losing good players but I am not that worried about it.  Vic coaches hard and that’s not for everyone.  I am sure he’d like to have bad that he said they didn’t have any heart.  You can question effort, preparation…..things like that but not great questioning heart.  It looks like it’s going to be Booker and a brand new cast next year.  I feel confident he’ll bring in some great portal additions to go along with the recruits he has coming in.

Dang, now Preston will follow. I wonder if we will ever know what really motivated these girls to leave? Lee got everything.  She got praise, evidently a bag was offered, playing time, said all the right things, shocking. I always felt she would be the loyal one.

What the frick just happened. Final Four team with only 2 key graduations and 3 McDonald’s All-Americans coming in dismantled in 48 hours.

Vick screwed up, he threw the team under the bus publicity.

I do hope Coach Vic addresses this publicly. He owes it to us. One of the most loyal and vested fan bases in the country and no one expected this mutiny. They all seemed happy at the Buccee stops, dancing, messing around with coach, etc. Just goes to show that so much of life is a facade.

Augie is rolling in his grave. Vic definitely needs to be much more mindful of how he speaks to the media. I know for a fact the parents were not happy about his Vandy rent. Sad that they couldn't accept his apology. You would think the coaching staff needed to be more aware of what was happening and prevent it.

Blair needs to move on too. She needs to blaze her own trail. Coach needs to really audit and take stock of his program. At UCLA and USC their crowds at games pale compared to ours. They don't give their teams the fan support like we do. I am saddened by these turn of events.

Now I worry about losing some of those recruits.

Man you are getting all worked up.  Vic is one of the best in the game.  Blair is not moving on.  We’re not making wholesale changes.  We’ve been to the Final Four the last two years.  Vic has been doing this a really long time.  If he was a young coach and this happened I’d be on the ledge right beside you.  Like what’s happening at Tennessee.  Young coach and whole team left.  Vic needs to up the talent level just a bit to get over the hump.  Portal lets him do that.  After portal season I’ll be shocked if we are not loaded again.

People act like we are losing all SEC players....we had Jak Mwenetanda and Muhammed transfer out and neither of them really contributed to Vandy or Oregon.

Vic will go big game hunting to replace Carlton/Lee and Preston if she leaves.  Transfers will want to come to Austin after 2 back to back final fours and the opportunity to play with Booker.  The incoming freshman should be licking their chops with so much playing time available.

I just saw Brian Davis of AAS posted it’s getting much more difficult to keep everybody happy and paid.  That’s true. You either want more playing time than you are getting or you see someone else get paid and then you want more money.  Booker is probably making more than all the rest of them put together.  But Booker is different.
So Crump felt like she should have been playing more. Honestly she might be right

Lee probably wanted more money and Vic wasn’t willing to go more.

Carlton had stretches where she would sit behind Sidberry and she wanted to play more and probably a bump in money.

Lee and Crump were from out of state way away from Austin and maybe a little homesick wanting to be closer to family.

IDK But everyone isn’t going to stay happy and now it’s easy for them to just leave

Anybody trying to downplay this is just living with their head in the sand. Ultimately there will need to be a waiting game for final judgement on the roster, but this is not going in the right direction at the moment. It has to be a bigger issue than just on the floor - which is one of the biggest issues.

Gonna need some MASSIVE additions to make up for the losses. Brutal so far.
