Califashorn75 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago She's a big body. Time to get coached up. Not much of a scoring threat but should be able to give Brea some breathing moments. I wonder how Hosea's development is coming along? Quote
Assistant Regional Manager Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Vic is going to need to adapt. No one is saying he needs to make wholesale changes to who he is or his core identity, but there will have to be tweaks. Getting over the final hump is always the toughest and requires the most introspection. Edited 5 hours ago by Assistant Regional Manager 7 1 Quote

Since Vic didn't get any real experience big, I have my fingers crossed that Hose is the next best thing. Texas really needs some help spelling Breya. She's slow, in foul trouble often, doesn't draw many fouls, and is 50-50 on free throws. 2 Quote
Bevohorns Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This roster won’t be competing for final 4 spot next year. Did not upgrade at all through the portal while our competition did (sc) 1 1 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The girls coming in are going to have gel and ball quickly. Lots of youth. South Carolina really scored this recruiting and portal cycle. Quote

Did not upgrade at all through the portal while our competition did (sc) I don’t know why anyone is laughing. This is the truth. Texas lost three good players in the portal and brought in one that will contribute. I will be shocked if this team advances to the Sweet 16. Rebuilding during Booker’s senior year is maddening. There is 12 on this roster and two will not contribute. 10 is thin. Five of those ten are freshmen in a difficult conference. Anyone who thinks Texas is better than SC, LSU, Vanderbilt and Kentucky right now is not paying attention. Tennessee might even be better because Caldwell found 15 players that are good and fit her system. I’m truly at a loss for words. 3 1 Quote

HookemTexas Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I too am feeling like next season is going to be a meh. While the backcourt and wings will be talented, any team with a half decent big is going to eat Texas for lunch. My personal grade so far for the offseason is a D, only because the incoming class is rated highly, but they are unproven. As with others, I don’t see them as a top four team next year, not even top four in the SEC. Quote
HonkEm Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Some people on this board are acting like Texas is the only good program that didn’t live in the portal, and that’s just not true. Plenty of top teams barely touched it - the difference is those teams already had Final Four‑level cores. Texas skipped the portal while losing three rotation players and bringing in five freshmen, so the anxiety is about timing, not roster size. But some of these takes are way over the top. Texas isn’t suddenly behind Vanderbilt or Kentucky, and saying “Sweet 16 would shock me” is just emotion talking. Booker is one of the best players in the country, the recruiting class is elite, and Schaefer wins 25+ games even in imperfect years. The ceiling is still high- the margin for error is just smaller. 2 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago The key is Itute. She's a freshman but has a lot of international experience. Watch her tape. She's a dog. 1 Quote
