Moderators Jeff Howe Posted April 19 Author Moderators Posted April 19 Plattner with a one-out shot to third. It got up on Becerra in a hurry. Nice recovery, but it's a one-out base hit for the Tide. Quote
AZ Longhorn Posted April 19 Posted April 19 (edited) Second straight day our offense gets blanked by their starter through at least 5. But just like yesterday, the pitch count is high enough that guy won't make it past the 6th. One more inning max, then the light at the end of the tunnel (their weak bullpen). People like to complain about us taking pitches, but leading the country in pitches/AB does pay off in later innings and against opponents who have top-heavy staffs Edited April 19 by AZ Longhorn Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted April 19 Author Moderators Posted April 19 One-out double by Vaughn. The wind helped Robbins track it down in the gap. It's RISP with one out for Steele as Max Weiner makes his way to the mound. Harrison's next pitch will be his 91st of the day. Quote

Moderators Jeff Howe Posted April 19 Author Moderators Posted April 19 Fowler goes down swinging to end the inning. Harrison's 10th strikeout of the game is his new career high. The Tide strand runners in scoring position in a scoreless sixth. 2 Quote
AZ Longhorn Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Wow! Harrison had more traffic than I'd expected against this Bama lineup, but he made the RIGHT pitches! Just like timely hitting, he came up big at the most critical times! Quote
.45s Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Harrison keeps getting out of jams, but really needs some help from our offense. Quote
82horn Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Texas pitching has struck out 46 this weekend. Harrison probably done at 96 pitches thru 6 innings of work . Quote

We get 11 outs against their weakass bullpen, gotta like our odds. Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted April 19 Author Moderators Posted April 19 Rodriguez ends an eight-pitch at-bat with a flyout to left. That'll do it for Upchurch, who shut the Longhorns down after near-30-pitch first inning. Quote
