Tech sent him to rehab to try and get out in front of this, and maybe save part of his season IMO

Lucky this came out in April and not August. If tech wants him to be their starter he’ll get all the help he needs to avoid NCAA punishments

I know that's what they're trying to do, but going to rehab after getting caught and finding out the NCAA is investigating doesn't feel like it's actually getting in front of anything.

As a comparison, Hunter Dekkers made ~300 bets, with only one being on Iowa State when he was also a RS and he never was able to play NCAA football again (ironically plays for the Houston Gamblers now lol)
