Tres Comas Posted Tuesday at 03:28 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:28 PM With Coleman, potentially Wingo and any transfers out the door, there's $$$ and time available immediately to accommodate two big-time WR's in the class. 12 Quote
Joe Zura Posted Tuesday at 04:27 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:27 PM Is Sark and Jackson starting to switch to the bigger WR instead of the worthy type or no? 1 Quote
Austalgia Posted Tuesday at 04:31 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:31 PM Let’s put up the “Sails”, there’s a “Monsoon” coming. Ok, I know that’s bad. 1 Quote
Bunk Moreland Posted Tuesday at 04:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:39 PM Does the staff view him more as a contingency plan for Royal leaving for LSU, or do you think they’d ideally like both receivers? 1 Quote

Bunk Moreland Posted Tuesday at 05:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:03 PM 5 minutes ago, All Gas No Brakes said: Both 🤘🏼 I mean, I agree—I would take both in a heartbeat. But I’m wondering what the staff’s view is. Because those two are going to cost an arm and a leg in NIL, and the last time Texas overspent for a couple of 5-star WR recruits it didn’t go so well. It’s clear Sark is pivoting to favor more experienced talent through the portal, so it would be a bit of a surprise if they genuinely wanted to push for both receivers (unless they think both are actually THAT good and can both make instant contributions in 2027). With Coleman and Wingo likely both gone after this year, the staff pushing for two five-star WR recruits would signal that they likely won’t go heavy after a receiver in the portal. Not sure I love that strategy. Would leave us with a very young receiving corps for Lacey or Bell. Quote
GoingForTheCorner Posted Tuesday at 05:09 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:09 PM If we managed to land both Sales and Royal (probably a longshot), would this compare to but be slightly below the best trio in a single class at Texas, Roy, BJ, and Sloan? 1 Quote

Would take both for sure ... a bonus situation. But it's still low % right now 9 1 Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted Tuesday at 05:41 PM Moderators Posted Tuesday at 05:41 PM On Sales ... what OTF continues to monitor is Sales. June 19-21 OV ... right now it's Miami. That will have to change to Texas for the staff to feel liike they have a legit shot in this recruitment. Likely a big part of Jackson's visit today will be getting to that discussion if the OV date will change from June 5-7 (which he can't attend due to state track meet) to June 19-21 12 2 Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted Tuesday at 06:10 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:10 PM Let’s see if this gets serious as far as an official visit because right now this recruitment sounds like a pipe dream 1 Quote
