@Gerry Hamilton It's all Jerrys. Why do you think Jerry West and Jerry Buss thought Kobe was better than Shaq? When Shaq recently said Lakers fans loved Kobe more than him, I thought no crap genius. I became a Lakers fan in 1978 watching Kareem when I was 5. I never considered Shaq anywhere close to Kareem, Kobe or Magic. Fatboy wouldn't work. Jerry West told us in June 1996 that Kobe was more important Shaq.

Don't want to dis a kid who doesn't know what he's talking about because he's too young to know better. Marcus got Shaq about Kareem. Got Shaq above Kobe. Got Shaq above Magic. Don't know what he's talking about. Can't root for dumbassness.

At this point, I think the solution is pretty simple: you need to find a Kobe Bryant message board.

Find a place where the entire purpose is discussing Kobe, ranking Kobe, reliving 1996, debating Shaq, quoting Jerry West, and telling everyone how long you’ve been a Lakers fan. Somewhere there may even be a handful of people who are interested in hearing your Kobe takes for the 700th time - possible but unlikely.

Because this is a Texas basketball board, and yet somehow every topic eventually becomes another chapter in your lifelong Kobe documentary.

Texas recruiting? Kobe.
NBA discussion? Kobe.
Shaq gets mentioned? Emergency Kobe dissertation.
Someone says “Jerry”? Suddenly we’re back in June 1996 hearing what Jerry West supposedly “told us.”

We understand the thesis. You love Kobe. You think Kobe was better than Shaq. You have thought this for decades. Congratulations on the consistency.

But nobody here is waiting for your next personal Lakers anecdote, and nobody needs your autobiography attached to every basketball opinion you post.

So please, for your sake and ours, go find a board dedicated to Kobe. Maybe you’ll finally find the audience you seem convinced exists.

And if they don’t care either, that may be useful information.
