Where do yall get your cards from?

Most of my Longhorn cards I get from eBay. I've also picked up a decent amount from COMC.

Shows can be overwhelming, but a local shop is a good way to pick up cards. Facebook Marketplace and groups on Facebook are hit or miss, depending on what you want to buy.

My best advice is to get to know the eBay search function for SOLD ITEMS. That's the best way to figure out a good price on something before you buy, without subscribing to an app or online database like Card Ladder or Market Movers.

Just recently picked these up at a local card show. Been snagging up as much Bijan as I can lately.

Good pickups!

I like Optic because of the "Rated Rookie" logo. I always think of the Juan Gonzalez reverse negative from 1990 Donruss when I see that logo.

I have a good bit of Bijan cards. Happy I’m holding them unless I get a ridiculous offer.

- 1/49 National Treasures “Nicknames” On-Card Auto (Bijan added “Smiley” to his auto)

- 1/50 Legacy Bronze Auto

- 1/75 Classics Auto PSA 9

- 1/75 Contenders Optic Silver Auto

- Bowman Chrome PSA 10

I have a love/hate relationship with unlicensed cards. This is probably my best Bijan card, which I got for peanuts in a lot on Facebook because it's not licensed.

The Memorial Stadium rededication monument, placed at the top of the north end zone in 1977. Attempted theft by a small group of aggroids in the mid80s. They dropped it, damaged it, and got arrested.  The replacement monument was moved along with the bronze war memorial during the stadium expansion. The original resides at my house

Agreed. I tend to avoid unlicensed when I can.

Ebay but would love to know where others source from. Recently got into this hobby

The big show in Texas is the Dallas Card show. It can be overwhelming though. There is an improving Austin card show that I like going to now.

DCS is also very overpriced - you can see great stuff, but man, it’s expensive compared to other shows/online

I'll have to look into that one in Austin. Looks like the last one took place in June? Do they hold it multiple times per year?

I agree, but I have developed relationships with a few dealers that offer fair deals. If a dealer has no prices on his cards, is okay with a flipper covering the entire case with his cards, or doesn’t look up when I am looking at their cards then I move on.

They do. Each time there have been more dealers.

This is the correct way to approach a show. Whether it's a big or small show, there are too many dealers willing to negotiate a fair deal to try and haggle with people who seem inconvenienced by your presence.

That’s fair - vintage guys are the ones who I have built relationships with and will give you good deals. New age stuff is just so volatile, it’s hard to price correctly.

I stick to vintage as well.

I have a set of the Olympic weights from the football team in my home gym. The orange ones are from Mac Brown era. The chrome weights went into the weight room in Mac’s last year, and are still being used today.

Hit up a local card show today and came away with these. The Mitchell PSA 10 is pop 6.

I appreciate Adonai Mitchell taking the time to make sure his shorthand autograph is legible.
