Hornmatic Posted yesterday at 06:31 PM Posted yesterday at 06:31 PM 2006 Texas at Nebraska. Horns down 20-19, Nebraska with the ball running out the clock with 2 minutes left. We’ve already started using timeouts so another first down will ice the game. 3rd and 3, Nebraska pass complete for 7 yards. If the receiver goes down it’s game over but Aaron Ross dislodges the ball as soon as possession is established. Horns recover, get a couple first downs, and kick the game winning field goal. 2 Quote

One of the best situations of grabbing a win from a dire situation. I was there in the student section also. Texas was defending National Champ and ranked No. 1 to start the year. We were behind and it was late in the game. The student section was on its feet and collectively started stomping on the aluminum bleacher seats, demanding a win -- and Speyrer came through with yet another heroic 45 yard pass play. The crowd went crazy. Edited yesterday at 06:47 PM by TexasTom additional fact 3 Quote

He basically did it with one arm. Augie wanted to pinch-hit for him, but Wheeless convinced him that he saw Ryan LaMotta well, so Augie stuck with him. 2 Quote

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 5 hours ago Moderators Posted 5 hours ago The first Texas Baseball game at the Disch I ever attended resulted in a Cameron Rupp walkoff three run home run against Nebraska in 2010. One of my favorite Texas moments ever as inconsequential it may have been. Quote

Texas fan in Georgia Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Remember in the bama game in 2023 on a 4th down Quinn fumbled the snap and Jbrooks picked it up and ran for a 1st down. Pivotal moment in the game. 1 Quote
