Alex C Posted Thursday at 04:01 PM Posted Thursday at 04:01 PM I, as a Spurs fan, vote that the NBA does a 14 game Finals of 2 12 minute halves. I feel like the spurs would sweep just about everyone in 8 games.... see, problem solved, and my heart and blood pressure will thank them. 1 Quote

LonghornFan4Ever Posted yesterday at 05:12 AM Posted yesterday at 05:12 AM Rough series if you’re a Spurs fan. Still showed a lot of fight, but the Knicks just had better execution in the big moments. Quote
TTaylor2135 Posted yesterday at 05:40 AM Posted yesterday at 05:40 AM Obviously the future is bright but unfortunately there are no guarantees in sports especially in the western conference. Coming in peace as a Knicks fan who enjoyed the physically and grit of this series: - Harper is a dog, never seen a rookie so physical at the rim -Wemby is not invincible but he will only continue to get better. Conditioning in playoffs will be a concern, should try to get a decent backup big -Don’t know $$ situation tied to Fox but obviously know the situation there. I do like Castle a lot so him and Harper can be a dangerous combo but I know Gerry mentioned a few times of Castle needing to be “the guy” so interesting how that will play out -OG was the X factor of this series -I have to say one negative thing I’m sorry.. i’m so happy I don’t need to see castle do his dumb little shoulder shrug and hands up emotion anymore.. every single play.. hell of a series, Spurs are legit and let’s turn the page to Texas football.. 1 Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted yesterday at 05:42 AM Posted yesterday at 05:42 AM The spurs need a second star because right now it’s wemby and a bunch of JAGS. Can’t expect wemby to be the star he is every night with not much help. 1 Quote

Wemby could not ask for a better cast at 22 years old. Relax. 2 Quote

Wemby isn’t perfect and needs to get in better shape and toughen up too Quote
TTaylor2135 Posted yesterday at 05:56 AM Posted yesterday at 05:56 AM Nobody will talk about Wemby not boxing out on Hart’s missed free throw.. Brunson wins a ring, shakes hand with Mitch right away.. Wemby to the locker room 👋🏻 .. just things you learn over time to become a champion. Quote
harveycmd Posted yesterday at 07:02 AM Posted yesterday at 07:02 AM (edited) I've never seen a team literally melt away in every game in the NBA Finals like the Spurs. Many teams have been overmatched and swept, but there's never been a team that was clearly superior, held a double digit lead in every game, yet choked every time. Spurs couldn't man up at all. They couldn't compete under pressure. Mitch Johnson coached the worst Finals series ever seen. I'm glad I'm not a Spurs fan. They're not recovering from this. harveycmd Posted yesterday at 07:35 AM Posted yesterday at 07:35 AM Wemby's not mentally tough enough to become an all time great. You don't cheap shot guys and then leave the floor without shaking hands with the team that just beat you for the title if there's not something missing. 3 Quote
pinkman_90 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Really thought I was going to die before seeing a Knicks championship. Thought we were cursed (or just the curse of Dolan). Brunson is a generational closer and leader. Absolutely incredible the player he’s turned himself into. Quote

See what you did to the basketball world Spurs? Biggest chokers in the history of professional sports and now the rest of us have to listen to Knicks fans spew nonsense for a couple years. Quote

Dread-headed Texan Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Starting to look like the biggest trade mistake wasn't trading Luka, it was trading Big head Jalen Brunson Burner. Quote

I think the last 3-4 games of the series an argument could be made that Harper was the best player for the Spurs. Top 3 things for the Spurs is to add 3 point shooting, add veteran depth, and for Wemby to get stronger and develop a go-to move in the post. Quote

If you look at it objectively, there's no question that all the match-ups broke in the Knicks' favor. They missed Boston. They got Cleveland. Then they missed OKC and got the more favorable match-up with SA. Even then, the Spurs had to choke worse than any team in NBA Finals history for the Knicks to win. The chances of that happening again are slim to none. In five years, Brunson will be viewed as a fortunate one hit wonder. Edited 1 hour ago by harveycmd Quote
