Here’s my thoughts on Texas guys on 2026-27 team and NBA Draft Isaiah Johnson - 1st round in 2027 or 2028 Austin Goosby - 1st round in 2028, or outside shot 2027 Elyjah Freeman - 2nd or 1st round in 2027 David Punch - 2nd round in 2027, or 2028 Matas - 2nd round in 2027, or 2028 7 Quote

DanielOnorato Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Matas as valuable if not more than Swain this past year and can't teach 7 feet will go first round. Edited 14 hours ago by DanielOnorato 1 Quote

Going to have to show improved defensive ability this season IMO. If he’s only a drop coverage defender in the ball screen game … tough for him to go 1st 1 Quote

Matas needs to show improved defensive movement, better processing on offense and defense (avoid silly fouls), more refined offensive skill to be a first rounder. Quote
harveycmd Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago There's still quite a bit of ill-informed reporting on Swain out there. I watched some guy claim Swain couldn't handle the ball or pass, but for some reason a team can run offense through him. It's obvious these guys don't watch any film or simply don't know what they're talking about. Where do these guys come from? 1 Quote

He better get a face up game if he wants to go first round. He will get drawn out to the perimeter and that will expose his inability to move quick enough to guard. Really great college player, who will get a lot better this year. I see him sticking on a roster even if it’s second round, but that’s about it. Quote
