Yeah it seems Texas has a cb plan and a NIL plan on how to spend there as well. Got Meredith , and a good chance at a couple others. Pretty sure if he was viewed as a must get we would have ponied up. We win some NIL battles, and lose some. But yeah this ain't BK at LSU anymore. They are all in, so will be more battles to come. Is what it is for all until they sign in Dec.

@Hank South It sounds like Texas viewed him as a CB, correct? I know others have him listed as a safety. What did the staff view him as and what do you feel his long term position will be? I'm not worried nearly as much about CB in this class, but safety is looking a bit thin right now.

More nickel as I understand it.

Tu'upo should be a big boost on Friday.

Well now, this makes sense now. I remember reading that Easton Royal and Greedy spent a lot of time together while on campus this weekend. I would assume it was by design from the LSU side. Don’t hate the messenger (I don’t have any inside information blouse a hunch) but I would think bot go to LSU.

We do not expect Greedy James to remain in Texas' 2027 class.

We expect him to flip to LSU.

The Longhorns obviously liked him but have him tiered differently than others from an NIL standpoint.

There's still confidence inside the UT offices that this CB class is going to be a strong one.

One source said there will be a lot to "love" about how it finishes.

I'm not sure if James' likely flip will impact Dhillon McGee. I lean no. I think he's going to Penn State.

Texas is still heavily in on landing Montre Jackson on Saturday and Brandon Sherrard on July 1.

That'd be a bummer. I liked the Greedy commit, and I'm all in anti-LSU...

Will Texas continue to pursue like they did when Kade Phillips flipped from Texas to LSU?

Unless he takes less money from Texas there is nothing to talk about here.

I would assume they would.

I doubt it. Hank said they have him slotted a tier down for NIL. LSU offered more. Unless he wants to take less to be at Texas there is nothing to see here. I think Texas is moving on here.

That would be interesting. Seems they normally stay on a top kid even though they flip somewhere else. That is unless something negative is said/done.

Texas is possibly getting two CB commits before the end of the upcoming weekend.

True. I was also thinking that James was being recruited at Safety instead of CB/nickel for some reason.

Just kidding.  Good luck to him if he got what he thinks he deserves.

Kept scrolling, waiting for this one.
