NothinButDaHorns34 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Still laughing at how we stole him away from bama. They’ve been doing nothing but getting the belt from us lately. To our win in their stadium in 2024, to smothers and cam coleman. 1 Quote

Smothers behind last year’s offensive line would have helped tremendously, given this was common place off the LOS. Add in the breakaway speed. All i heard out of this is there’s a reason our “starting” backs from last year are not here anymore. Quote

Regardless, patience is going to be a common theme here nice delay-draw miss direction kinda play Quote

His production fell off significantly against quality opponents. That's a good point, and I wonder if their OL production (or lack of) had anything to do with it. Quote
charlie990 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago great clips CJ! He's got an elite name to boot Quote
bourbasted Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Vision and lateral quickness are off the charts! Quote

I think Smothers has been underrated and will show on gameday that he is a natural running back. Might not be as impressive of a summer workout guy as Raleek but seems like he’s just a football player. I see a lesser Jahmyr Gibbs when I watch Smothers. Big jump in competition this year so we’ll see if he’s as effective. I've been thinking this too. The more I watch Smothers and look at our options the more I see this group as the 2023 version with Smothers being to our offense what Brooks was to that one and Raleek & Cooper being what Blue & Baxter were (if not better). Plus you've Coleman as your Mitchell, Wingo as a pseudo Worthy and Mosely as J-Whitt. Even Bishop getting some reps the way Johntay did (hopefully with a much better outcome). Just need Nick Townsend to develop into Sanders lite and we're off to the races. Quote
CoachScott619 Posted 21 minutes ago Posted 21 minutes ago I see a little bit of Leveon Bell in his game. Quote
