Banks has scheduled an official visit to Austin from September 18–20, 2026. 

Banks recently named Texas as one of the four programs communicating with her the most and being there "from the beginning". She publicly noted that she can strongly see herself fitting into the Longhorns' system.

Gigi Banks would be a huge pickup. You have to have great guard play to win in the SEC. She reminds me of Fulwiley at LSU, great handle, change of direction, stutter step, go to the rim and score! Get the Lambo ready.

I think she's better than Fulwiley.  Bank's is so smooth it reminds me of Kobe how effortless it looks.

I really wish Vic would have updated how Lovisa Hose is doing. She's our tallest player. She redshirted last year, but we haven't received a peep on her since she first enrolled. I would hope she gets some minutes in the paint this year.

Why do we know the football recruits coming in Saturday, but Coach Vic didn't share who the girls are that he has coming by Saturday? Is he able to say who they are or is it just gamesmanship? I hope he's recruiting the Ukrainian center from LSU.

He's not allowed to mention any recruits by name until/unless they've signed with Texas.

Hank posted that we had 4 top 15 girls coming in this weekend.

Texas women’s basketball is set to host arguably its biggest recruiting weekend in recent memory with the Longhorns football team welcoming Ohio State to the Forty Acres. Leading the way is Texas’ lone commit in the 2027 class in center Jayla Forbes, the No. 14 overall prospect in America out of IMG Academy. The 6-foot-7 Forbes committed to Texas in July over Notre Dame, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma and Mississippi State among others. Forbes averaged  16.2 points and nine rebounds this summer on the EYBL circuit with Her Elite. 

No. 2 — Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka, Wing, The Bullis School (Md.) 

Want to know how highly regarded that Wilson-Manyacka is as a recruit? Her nickname is “LeBrona.” She is the No. 2 player in the country, according to ESPN. The expectation for her would be to fill Madison Booker’s shoes once the Texas legend goes pro. She was at LSU this weekend for an official visit. With Team USA in the AmeriCup she averaged 12.8 points, six rebounds, and 1.7 assists on the way to the winning the Gold Medal. 

No. 4 — Jezelle “GG” Banks, Guard, St. James Performance (D.C.) 

Another major target for the Longhorns, Banks is the No. 4 player in the country. She’s effective on and off the ball and is nationally known playmaker. Banks, like Wilson-Manyacka, is at LSU thisweekend. With Team USA this year in theAmeriCup she averaged just shy of 14 points, 6.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game, while shooting 52 percent from the field. Banks is one of the most coveted recruits in the country and considered a priority target by many, Texas included. 

No. 9 — Sydney Savoury, Guard, Bellville(Mich.) 

The No. 9 overall player in the country will be at Texas this coming weekend, followed up by Notre Dame. She, too, played with Team USA in the AmeriCup, averaging 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. She was the 2024-25 Gatorade Michigan Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Her mom, Lisa, played basketball at BYU and currently works as the Assistant AD for Sports Administration at Michigan, Savoury’s brother, Jayden, is a tight end for Michigan State.

We know the football recruits because it's reported by OTF, not by Sark or anyone at Texas directly.
