What other NCAA rules should Texas break?

We could set up an elaborate sign stealing operation, or I suppose intercept digital communications/signals since apparently the NCAA doesn't think it's much of a big deal if a blue blood does it.

He's unquestionably still the better option at Center over Robertson right? I mean, he was the day 1 starter there last year. Unless they have some sort of starting guarantee for Robertson that lured him to return this year?

I see no downside if granted. An extra OL with experience for a long season ahead , if we handle business. Seems well liked, so no issues there. Just think everybody is still cranky about Flood lol.

Pretty sure he understands he will be a backup that has to earn more time all over again. Never know when the injury bug may hit. And can definitely help the younger guys as well. Hope it works out .

I thought Robertson was better at center last year. But Hutson could benefit from an upgrade at left guard if he goes back to center.

I actually think Robertson is a pretty good center. No reason for Cole to play center unless Robertson gets hurt.

Well and he gets to stay on the 40 with all his friends, get an extra degree, some pocket money, and a chance to win a natty. Literally no downside for him.

Has Hutson been doing thing to have his body SEC football ready for the last 7 months?

Cole Hutson has been training continuously on campus and staying in peak physical shape following the draft.

Got nothing but love for Cole Hutson, hope he wins and is back in a Longhorn jersey. Certainly has his issues but he's a more than capable OL and as you said Jeff, can more than hold his own and will add valuable depth if not a starter.

This is a ridiculous development and I can't wait until these attempts are a thing of the past. I'm not going to be a hypocrite when I'm wholly against this in general and celebrate Hutson attempting to worm his way back into college football after 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪-𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱 for a potential spot in the NFL.

@Jeff Howe definitely different than sorsby obviously— but didn’t sark publicly criticize when Pavia did a similar thing?

He was against the suggestion that JUCO years shouldn’t count toward someone’s eligibility, which is what Pavia was arguing. That’s part of the reason the NCAA implemented the age-based model.

I think it's pretty unanimous that we were better at center with Robertson. Of course that also coincided with getting Stroh off the field, so I'd want to know what Hutson looks like at center with Seymore at LG. I'm sure they'll try out every combination. Hopefully, they put the best one on the field sooner than week 8 this time.

Honestly man until there's a new league with enforceable rules or the government steps in and does something binding - these are the new rules. Everyone else is filing lawsuits anywhere they think they have a chance. They may be unwritten rules but at some point you have to follow the flow of traffic. I don't have any issues.

"The government stepping in" is the last thing college sports needs. 🤦🏿‍♂️

Perhaps you require more current news sources??  🤷‍♂️

My question is this: What he filed is a "temporary injunction", correct? Doesn't that mean that if he wins, he would be allowed to play pending a final ruling? If so, isn't there a possibility that the final ruling could declare him ineligible, in which case Texas would have played an ineligible player?
