SamuraiKnight Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Look, I have never been on the fire Coach Flood bus, but Brook Austin exposes some real concerning OL play. Especially late in the season. If Cole Hutson is the best option we have at LG, God help us. Texas Failed Arch Manning Last Year 2 1 Quote

Joe Zura Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @Gerry Hamilton you are the biggest flood defender here care to add anything 👀👀 1 Quote
charlie990 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago That was eviscerating on Flood. Instead of Sark babysitting the defense he can babysit the O line this year 2 Quote
Sundancekid Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think the media failed Arch Manning and Texas, in general, more than the offensive line. Last year is done though. Move on. Look forward. Changes for the better have been made. Noone is making ludicrous projections about our team this season thankfully. 2 1 2 Quote

Last year is done, and I believe they've addressed the situation as best they can. Quote
Han Soul Hole Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago He is 100% correct. OL/TE/WR were horrific last year and Arch was left out to dry. False starts, poor blocking, lack of blitz recognition, over 8% of Arch's passes were dropped (led the nation by more than 5%), and false start after false start plagued us every game and every series. Kyle Flood makes 1.8 million... it's his damn job to get the OL $hi7 right. Quote
hookem1014 Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago He’s not wrong. You have a generational QB on your bench for 2 years and you give him one of the worst O lines in the country when he finally gets the starting job. This year is Sark and Floods chance to make up for that. Quote
Assistant Regional Manager Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago Interesting video title when one of the first clips he shows is Arch missing Wingo from 5 yards away from a perfectly clean pocket and he talks for 2 minutes about how many easy throws Arch missed the whole season. But I guess the title "Arch had his own struggles and Texas failed to support him at times" doesn't quite get the clicks that "TEXAS FAILED ARCH" does. 2 3 Quote
HonkEm Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago LMAO.... The “Texas failed Arch” take is peak August desperation from a dude who needs clicks like oxygen. Arch was a true freshman who needed weight, timing, and Sark’s install --- not tossed into garbage‑time clown snaps so some YouTube film bro could pause clips and pretend he’s uncovering state secrets. This is the same guy who watches three plays, declares himself a QB guru, and somehow still manages to misunderstand all three. Texas didn’t fail Arch. Texas protected him. The film guy needed clicks, a headline, and maybe a helmet so he stops injuring himself with his own analysis. 1 1 Quote
SamuraiKnight Posted 34 minutes ago Author Posted 34 minutes ago It's the OL missing assignments that concern me. That feels like coaching, and I worry that hasn't changed. Arch got healthy, new WRs, more time spent together, new OLs, all these transformed bodies, but did Flood get better? I have been a Flood supporter, but honestly and sincerely, I am starting to doubt. Quote

Perhaps it was a one-off. We will find out. Quote

It’s a little bit of both, the Oline especially in the first 5-6 games were TERRIBLE. Those boys couldn’t even get a solid push against UTEP. The Oline and WR core as well never really helped Arch grow up, he had to do it himself. I do agree with the whole arch had his own struggle cause he did, but our WRS and OL ended up being more of a detriment to the season than Arch. It’s gotta be better this year Arch too but that OL has to take the biggest jump this year. Quote
DiggsTX Posted 5 minutes ago Posted 5 minutes ago Interesting, this isn't what Brooks was saying DURING last season... Quote
