Beginning the "modern" era with 1992 is completely ridiculous and I suspect that it just conveniently corresponds to when you began to follow UT football.  Don't be afraid of history.  Learn it instead.

I think it’s mainly to keep it reasonable because if we go all the way back to Bobby Lane etc it would be even harder to list out. Perhaps the next exercise is to list out the top 25 ‘61-‘91 etc.

FWIW, 1992 was also the first year Division I teams had to operate with the 85-scholarship limit.

It’s an arbitrary list with an arbitrary date. If you don’t like it, start your own poll. No need to throw a tantrum.lol
