That's a stable ankle and not painful walking a lot of times. Straight forward movement can be okay after about a week, but it comes down to plant and COD cut Grade 1/low-grade high ankle sprains can be 1-3 weeks depending on healing. Agreed. Had a few sprains like that in basketball and was in an air cast for a few days on one of them and back out there in a week and the other took a bit longer. All depends on grade like you said. Quote
JurassicSark Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Had an ankle sprain myself for about a week just from dropping down from a pull-up bar. The precautionary boot and straight to locker room during game made the Cooper injury look scary, but good to hear he'll be healthy soon! 🤘 Quote
WRNC Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Any new update on the people close to Cooper that were scheduled to fly to Austin for the Ohio State game? Quote
LonghornFan4Ever Posted September 9 Posted September 9 If the staff thinks he’s good enough to play, he will play. All hands on deck for this game as it sets the tone for how the rest of the season will go. 1 Quote

Cooper was on the field for practice Tuesday, but very limited. The training staff had him doing some light jogging on Tuesday. Cooper is doing everything he can to try and be available for the game Saturday. Cooper's availability for Ohio State remains up in the air. OTF will provide an update later today if there is one. I would assume this means he is a go on Saturday on an as need basis. 1 Quote

Califashorn75 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Only use him for an emergency short yardage, move the pile run. No need to aggravate it further. Quote
SuperDave0805 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Got to figure a Healthy Terry and Simon would be more effective then a at 50% Cooper Quote
thatdude2 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 The great ones suffer scary looking injuries but bounce back sooner, I guess. I remember against Kansas State, VY's redshirt freshman year, it looked like he hurt his new really bad. He came back a few plays later, and the rest as they say is history. Bijan Robinson landing on his head and his legs touching his back against Texas Tech as a freshman. Arch suffering that concussion at Mississippi State last year, and then he came back and balled out the next week. Quote
Jerky Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Seems the game has slowed down for James Simon. I would like to see a year better Simon get the carries between the tackles. 1 Quote

If he's not 100%, not worth adding him to the game plan. He won't be effective without maximum power against OSU. Quote
