This morning, Texas Baseball Head Coach David Pierce sat down to discuss the upcoming season with me, Bobby Burton and CJ Vogel.

It’s definitely worth a listen if you’re a baseball fan, as he provides a ton of valuable insight on the upcoming season, their schedule and much, much more.

Thanks guys love it! Longhorn football is my first love but sure do enjoy watching the Horns play baseball. Big fan of coach Pierce.

I would love to see Duplantier get over his mental hump and have a breakout year. Also looking forward to seeing the improvement of players like Cody Howard (aka Agent Cody Banks). I liked his moxy last season.

If Texas can see some improvement in the bullpen, it could be a special season.

There were so many things I wanted to dig deeper into, but we just didn’t have time. Regardless, Coach Pierce went above and beyond into unveiling what’s behind the curtain to give us a sneak peek into this upcoming season.

Eager to see the changes on the mound with Coach Pierce taking over pitching responsibilities, I also like coach Rod's coaching philosophy when it comes to hitting. Cool to see UT implementing the Waco area from Connolly in football and the Baylor teams in baseball. Was always weird the little UT influence there when I was growing up.

One guy I have high hopes for: Grant Fontenot. He did some really, really good things at the JUCO level after leaving LSU and I’m so excited to see what he can do this year on a much bigger stage. He was actually the No. 1 LA kid coming out of HS.

Got my Houston classic tickets and bought season tickets for UCF for the May series. Let's go!

I think my son and I may run down there for the Vanderbilt game. He wants to go play for them so bad. I, of course, am all about him staying a bit closer to home but I obviously get it. He got to stop by and see the campus over the Holidays.

He’s gonna be a Longhorn. It’s predestined.
