How is James Simon's Progression Going?

@Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel I've have high hopes for him, but not sure if his lack of playing time (4 snaps) is due to the talent ahead of him or some other factor.

It is because of the talent ahead of him. Two 1st team all conference running backs and Derrek Cooper, who stood out as much as anyone during the spring and fall camp.

In this day and age, anyone not starting or scheduled to start is likely a portal candidate at some level.

this is reaching back a bit, but simon reminds me of chris robertson.  he came to Texas from denison in 98 and was behind hodges mitchell, victor ike (fast but no vision/shake), and kenny hayter (heralded but didn't pan out).  

he was buried on the depth chart, but he flashed when he went in.  i never understood why he didn't get more playing time.  he ended up transferring to cougar high, but unfortunately, the injury bug bit him hard and he medically retired from football.

The RB room for 27’ will most likely have Cooper, LWC, and Roberts in it. Hopefully we don’t lose Terry III and Simon but if we do we’ll prob have to bring in 2 guys from the portal. Not sure what Jett Walker’s future is either..
