I'm not sure that the system is his problem.  I don't care what system you are in, they don't teach you to ignore wide open receivers or to not identify where a blitz is coming from.

I think it's debatable (at best) if GG was ever a good QB in any system. I know he had a stint in the NFL and one decent year at SMU, but on the whole he was never a consistently good QB. Arch has looked like a great QB at time, including the second half of last season. I think he still has first round potential wheres GG never did once we saw his results at the colleagiate level.

Garrett Gilbert had a more successful professional career than Arch is on track to have.

Arch in year 4 looks like Gilbert as a freshman.

Just let that sink in.

The whole offense is a systemic failure, no matter the personnel. These failures existed during 2023 and 2024 as well.

Certainly explains why Texas was the only team to make both quarterfinals!!  🤦🏿‍♂️

Also explains why we failed to make it to the championships in both of those years despite having 11 players drafted in the 2024 draft and 12 in the 2025 draft from those teams.

Have you not seen all the film breakdowns of game tape of Arch? It is pretty bad..... So I guess EVERYONE IS WRONG..

I have. One game where they were up and their coach was an idiot and everyone is blaming one player. It's the whole group. Falls on coaching.

I find it hard to believe the Mannings are playing shadow OC from the sidelines and dictating what Arch can and can't do. If so, then shame on our staff for allowing it and I hope they pull the plug soon.

If you hope to play QB in the NFL, you are going to have to run and you are going to get hit. There is no being "protected" in that league. I would think Archie Manning knows that.

Everyone is wrong. They call Sark an offensive genius. He's a hard headed idiot to be doing this with the roster he has.

Per Chris Carter sportscast: Arch chose UT Sark because Sark committed to convert Arch to a pocket passer. Arch's natural system is RPO / Running Qb. Papa Archie is focused in protecting Arch from injuries. Sark and UT are in a pickle. Per Chris Carter, Arch's is underdeveloped as a pure pocket passer. It could be due to the OL or RB. What do you think?

Has Carter ever seen Arch try to run an RPO? This is a bunch of BS.

I would argue he was killing it against Michigan and was rolling at UTSA then never got it back after his injuries. Too many turnovers that year for him too and we would do the same disappearing act for 2 quarter that we are doing now.

Rolling against UTSA...

What is he doing? Playing a bad QB is what I see him doing

The systemic issues that have existed for years are as follows:

- Short yardage inability

- Poor redzone efficiency

- Run game consistency, abandoning of the run and not committing

- Physicality, lines get out beat physically, even by lesser competition and smaller fronts

- Stalling of the offense after opening scripts

- 3rd quarter offense

- Falling in love with home run shots at the expense of consistency

- Prioritizing pass blockers when the HC insist on physical run game

- Predictability in playcalling

- Poor WR blocking as a whole, outside of Whittington

You just described Georgia,  Notre Dame from last Saturday.

I don’t think sitting for two years with very limited in-game playing time benefited Arch’s development as a pocket passer.  You can practice all you want vs your own team but playing against real comp is where all the growth happens. Quin coming back kind of screwed his development.

I'm describing Sark's tenure has a HC at Texas, not isolated games.

Abandoning run game. Going for it when he shouldnt.

Personnel like CJ Baxter thriving out of the system while portal imports at RB have been underwhelming in his system.

Vs Tennessee Cooper played 10 snaps. Of those 10 snaps he got 8 carries.

DCs can smell his plays from a mile away based on personnel and formation. There is no element of surprise..he's putting these guys in a position to fail.

Flood should have been canned years ago and he should have hired a real OC this past off-season.

I've enjoyed it. 2 playoff appearances. Still in the hunt this year. I guess you were not around for Strong and Herman.

Quinn in 24 not arch this year

I know. Just don’t know if rolling against UTSA is a big accomplishment. I’ll give him that Florida game though.

Not saying it is what I’m saying is he was rolling up to that point. Getting hurt he was  never really able to get rolling again the same way.

I think Cris Carter knows about as much about the situation as my grandma who passed away in 2007.

Let be clear. If we miss the playoffs this year I am perfectly fine with firing everyone.

If Eli and Peyton had the athletic capability of arch, would they have been just a pure pocket passer?  how much better could they have been and their Hall of Famers.
