OTF has confirmed TE Nick Townsend is out for the season due to the lingering knee issue he suffered against Ohio State. Horns247's Chip Brown first reported the news.

Yes he's starting to play better at the right time. 

He’s pretty much been out the whole year anyway.

Will never forget that jet sweep for a touchdown he had against Aggie last year. 
 

He has unbelievable talent and now I know why he wasn’t being played.  
 

He will once again be an asset for the 2027 season 😤🤘

The young man has such great potential but he just can't get and stay healthy. It sucks and is unfortunate. I'm assuming we'll be in the TE market next year, too?

Hope he heals well and fully. 

I keep hearing about the great potential but nothing has flashed on the field for me. I read about his speed and edge but haven’t seen it yet when he’s played. 

Hopefully, he can get healthy and recover for next season.
