Moderators CJ Vogel Posted January 30, 2024 Moderators Posted January 30, 2024 Texas right tackle Christian Jones has been having a very strong day in Mobile for the first day of the Reese's Senior Bowl practices. A couple of 1-on-1 reps here against the following: Rep 1: Texas Tech's Myles Cole Rep 2: Missouri's Darius Robinson Rep 3: Texas Tech's Myles Cole Rep 4: Notre Dame's Javontae Jean-Baptiste Jones saw reps at both guard and tackle during the day of practice. 4 Quote
Ray Peters Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Appears to be in great shape, and you know he’s going to interview well. Good for him after catching quite a bit of grief as a younger player. Maturity + great coaching = amazing transformation. The Kyle Flood School For Badass Offensive Linemen will be more lucrative than McCombs 4 Quote
Hix Green made the Catch Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 This is such great news, and I am so happy for him. I hope he knocks it out of the park by Draft Day. 2 Quote

DanielOnorato Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 Jones will be a prime example for future recruits as a testament to this coaching staffs ability to maximize a prospects potential. Jones was a guy I wasn't sure would keep his job at the college level, and now he will be competing for a starting job at the pro level once drafted. Sark along with his assistant coaches have really done a tremendous job teaching these young men discipline, fundamentals and how to work in the weight room and eat properly. They're teaching these young men how to become professionals. Hopefully Texas can keep Kyle Flood for many years to come. Go Christian Jones! 1 Quote
westexhorn Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 (edited) here are 2 reps by CJones. Doing really really well. (I don't have it timestamps though, just know one about 16:30 mins in) Edited February 2, 2024 by westexhorn 1 Quote
Neil Leininger Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 Jones is going to have a 10+ year career playing inside. He's going to be a very athletic guard. Quote
AusMOJO Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 I'm quite impressed with how far Christian Jones came from where he was when Flood came in. Hell, I'm impressed with how much our OL room has improved in the 3 years under Flood. Recruiting some behemoths and studs at that position. We finally have a great OL heading into next year, with some quality depth. Heard there was some rumours that BC could be looking to take him, but I couldn't even blame him if he did. It would hurt us, but he's been great for us OL wise. Quote
