Sources have indicated to OnTexasFootball the injury bug bit again at practice Monday afternoon.

We do not know severity at this point and we are withholding the name of the player.

UPDATE: Given another source has mentioned the name, we will say the player referenced above is freshman RB Christian Clark. We still do not know the severity of the injury, although it sounds like a non-contact injury.

Safe to assume the name is being withheld (understood) until severity is known?

Or until Texas releases it?

For us, it's until severity and if it requires any sitting out of games/season.

On the reasoning for holding off on the name in the original copy, it is a couple things. Most importantly it is for the coaching staff/trainers to notify the parents of the player. For them to find out through a tweet or a post on a board that their son is hurt and severity to not have been disclosed is something I would imagine does not sit well with any mother.

Understand and agree with that CJ.  But it's been posted on other boards now, so the word is out.

The player in reference to the post above is freshman RB Christian Clark. OTF was told he landed awkwardly and went down in pain and was unable to get off the field under his own power.

Totally agree with this sentiment. Hopefully it's not too serious.
