FatherofMinky Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 It’s being reported on all the major sites Bo Barnes took a game day visit with family to Oregon yesterday. Are we are on flip watch? I really thought this kid was solid to Texas… 2 Quote

qaertyisthatdude Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Oregon - doing less with more. Phil Knight shelling out all this $$$ just for them to struggle with an FCS team. Quote
Robert Gilbert Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Justin Wells in an On3 video said that Samples was telling Barnes that UT would miss use him and he would be wasting his talent with the Longhorns. 1 3 1 Quote
goattalk100 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 It would be nice if we immediately got one of their highly rated commits back on campus. Also, don’t understand the infatuation with Oregon from all of these Texas kids in recent classes. Quote
qaertyisthatdude Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Makes you wonder if Phil Knight is paying the media to hype Oregon Quote

TTown Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 So did he inform the staff or not? If he did then no problem. If he didn't then I expect the same outrage that DAntre Robinson got when he didn't inform UT before a visit he took after being committed . Same situation if so, needs same response period. Quote
Raistlin Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Per Gerry, Barnes and his dad did not inform the Texas staff. That makes it look like they took the Duck money and tried to sneak up there but got caught. That may not have been what happened, but that’s what it looks like. Quote
harveycmd Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Speaking of Oregon, I'm thinking the "Gabriel for Heisman" odds took a hit. He had some yards, but he hardly looked like an elite QB. Quote

Starting to think Samples is a bigger charlatan than Deion. The bright side is that at least you know that kids willing to fall for this stuff probably aren't likely to have what it takes in the long run. It's a shame in this case because Barnes seemed like an honest and forthright kid. Even if it's just a money deal for a visit, it's still a red flag. Quote
