GetHooked Posted May 14 Posted May 14 My biggest fear with Blow U is that Venables does so poorly they have to fire him. I want him to do just good enough to keep his job forever. And keep Blow U mediocre forever. 5 3 Quote

Dream scenario would be both teams coming to Dallas undefeated, Sark beats BV by 30+ again, but OU goes on a tear and makes the CFP at 9-3 or 10-2 and they're stuck in early 2000s Texas territory. Good enough to keep BV employed there, but not bad enough to fire him. 2 Quote

harveycmd Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Back to football schedule whining by the criminals. Let's rank games by level of difficulty top to bottom and see who really has the tougher schedule. Hardest game on the criminal schedule is Texas in Dallas. We can't play ourselves, and it's not our fault Venables is a goober. Doesn't count for comparison purposes, but it will count as a criminal loss. Next hardest game for the criminals is at Alabama. It's at Georgia or at Ohio State for Texas. Take Georgia. Texas game is more difficult. Second hardest game for the criminals is probably at South Carolina. Not even close to at Ohio Sate. Texas game is more difficult. Next hardest game for the criminals is probably LSU at home. It's at Florida for Texas. Not a clear demarcation here, but it's probably harder to play Florida on the road than LSU at home. Next toughest game for the criminals figures to be Michigan at home. Next for Texas is A&M at home. A&M will likely be better than Michigan. Harder for Texas. Next hardest for the criminals is at Tennessee. This could perhaps be flipped with Michigan. Next for Texas is probably at Kentucky. Harder for the criminals. Next for the criminals is probably Auburn at home. Next for Texas is probably Arkansas at home. Arnold and Freeze could be really terrible, but Auburn is more talented than Arkansas. Tougher for the criminals. Next in line for the criminals is Missouri at home. Next for Texas is Vandy at home. I don't think Missouri will be very good, but they'll probably be a little better than Vandy. Harder for the criminals. We have Mississippi State on the road in conference. The other road game in conference for the criminals is technically us. The non-conference schedule not listed here is more difficult for Texas, but it shouldn't matter. Overall, slightly tougher for Texas because of the high end level of difficult road games. Quote
harveycmd Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I left out Ole Miss at home for the criminals, which should fall right around or just below playing Tennessee on the road. Moves the needle slightly for the criminals, but still not enough to overtake the difficulty of Texas road games. Quote
harveycmd Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Another way to look at it is that there isn't a game on the criminal schedule that Texas wouldn't be favored to win, with the possible exception of at Alabama. The over/under win total for Texas with the criminal schedule would be 11.5. The over/under for the criminals with the Texas schedule would probably be 7.5. Given that Texas favored over the criminals, it's really 6.5. Quote
harveycmd Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Anyone who plays high school football in Texas and then chooses to play for the criminals deserves to be excommunicated from the state of Texas forever. A-holes cheat and steal. Anyone who plays for them cheat and steal. Gotta treat them like the criminals they are. 1 Quote
