Was told awesome story about Mahomes today by his high school safety (yes safety as a sophomore when I saw him first) at Whitehouse ... may get to it on the Longhorn Livestream tonight or C&F in the AM

While I do think KC will win, I think it’s pretty dang remarkable the job brock purdy has done so far. From Mr irrelevant to starting in the Super Bowl. Which leads me to ask: does the B12 produce the best NFL quarterbacks?

It will probably be Chiefs. You just can count out Mahomes.

 

But I don’t really care…”my” team hasn’t won in almost 30 years. 
 

It’s in quotations because I root for them, but the NFL product is not nearly as attractive to me as MLB, NCAA football, & NASCAR.

I’m curious to see if the score of the Ravens/Chiefs was more caused by Raven ineptitude or Chief defense.

Super Bowls have historically been very unpredictable. As a Chiefs fan, I hope it’s the Chiefs but San Fran is very very good and could see them winning. Toss up game in my opinion.

I don’t think Shanahan will make the same mistake John Harbaugh did and not try to run on the Chiefs. I believe niners will have a decent run game. BUT- no way I’m betting against Reid and Mahomes. As a Cowboys fan I’ll be rooting for the Chiefs.

I really want Shanahan to get a ring and would like to see SF win, but I have a rule about never betting against the best player on the field.  The Chiefs have that and I think he wins the game for them.

What an awesome game. Patrick Mahomes will end up the greatest of all time when it's all said and done for him.

gave me bad nightmares of texas football in the last few years.  early lead, struggling to stay ahead late against a great quarterback.  weird turnover late.  then can't score in the red zone when it counts, defense eventually capitulates after playing pretty well for most of the game.  feel bad for Shanahan.
