No. 3 Texas at Texas A&M Game Week Thread

Recommended Posts

Said it on a different site and I’ll say it here. Watching the last 2 A&M Ls, Sark needs to use the run game to his advantage with how often A&Ms defensive ends run up field and don’t set the edge. Also, I think our screen plays will have success against A&Ms blitz heavy scheme. They also seem to leave a lot of one on one coverages on the outside so if the o line holds up, it could be a big day for our speedy receivers.

We’re not losing to Texas A&M. They’ll play us tough but after watching them against auburn, Zero fear.

If A&M pressures Quinn consistently, Texas can lose the game.

Texas is the better team, everyone knows that, but home field is going to be worth 8-10 in this game this year.

If Texas pass pros well ... there will be wide open WR's and RB's for sure. This is an OL game for Texas without question.

It's happened multiple times vs. A&M this year (but Missouri OL couldn't hold up to give Cook time consistently to his wide open WR's).

Quinn’s health is huge here. He looks poised and in command in the first half. If he is hobbled or unsure of himself we are in trouble next week. Bond is like 4.5 bond not 4.25 bond and Moore isn’t 100 percent for blocking. This is why the game was to golden yesterday. This plus the running backs fumbleitis makes me concerned about the aggy game with their front. Our defense should do well but need to watch out for Noah Thomas to pop some big ones. We will clearly lose the special teams battle unless we can free bolden for a big run back.

Aggy needs to be worried 😟 about Texas. Texas is the better team and MORE MATURE team. That lost to Auburn was NO FLUKE! Kyle field will boost there emotions, but who they are WILL show up!

Weirdly I get more confident with Ewers playing on the road.  Feel like he locks in a bit more.

Me personally not putting any real stock into the Auburn game, just because I know how much they were focused on us. No question they weren’t worried about that game going into it. They will put everything into this game.

The Aggies have been bad at tackling.

IF Quinn isn’t a tin-man with that ankle and the OL holds up….Sark pours it on and Texas puts up 35-40.

We scored 31 points at Michigan, 27 at Vandy and 20 at Arkansas but in our toughest road test of the season, we are going to put up more points with a hobbled QB?

Didn’t watch A&M yesterday but know they gave up 31 in regulation and 21 in the first quarter.  What did Auburn do to move the ball?  How much of a fit for the Texas offense was what Auburn did?

I love the idea of playing bully ball and running down A&M’s throat but the fumble issues give me pause.
