In the transfer portal era there is no excuse to be inexperienced.

Regarding Derek Williams, his injury happened in October so I'd say we could probably expect him back about October to November to be fully recovered and able to play(judging off Brooks timeline).

Jelani McDonald is the only player potentially going into next year with good game experience.

"The dudes we got" looks like this(Assuming Ttaaffee goes pro):

I don't disagree, but I think we've got some dudes there who could contribute. But, when you're right, you're right.

I'm curious what is even happening at OU right now. Is it the constant turnover with coaches or something, especially the OC? I mean to bring in an Air Raid guy and lose like 6-7 WR's, your top TE and two QB's is crazy to me. I wonder if this would've happened during Herman's era if the portal was alive and well back then.

At this point, they might just have to switch to the flexbone temporarily when they play Navy, lol.

Will OU be able to field a team of scholarship players against Navy?

I know that I shouldn't feel sorry for them but I do.  Unless this is a tough love move from Venables it is an awful implosion for a P4 team to suffer.

I do want our rivalry to continue to mean what it has over the years, while wanting Texas to beat OU like a drum every October.  They have to be very good for beating them to feel great.

I don’t feel sorry for them in any way whatsoever. I relish it. Did they ever feel sorry for anything we went through? Nope. I hope it gets even worse for the criminal interlopers

The guys who have left are not good.

You don’t know this m. They weren’t a good fit here. Couple of those that left are elite athletes.

True, could see a TX G5 team like TXST taking him to start since he is from TX

I wonder if he’s considering a position switch? He's shown he’s not capable of completing a forward pass. Seems like a Rochon move to RB would benefit a guy like him or move out to WR/Slot if he has decent hands.

Yep!  They enjoyed Texas' mediocrity the past decade, it's time for us to enjoy their demise.

May they be plagued with football to match the hellscape that is that state.
