Georgia roster in 2025

He had 360 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT's. A bunch of missed TD plays, too. Not all on him, obviously, but still. I also know you're not trying to blame the D for this loss when they held Georgia to under 300 yards and 16 points, LOL.

No, defense was great as always. I love our defense. Point is that people who are complaining about Quinn in the red zone are off base. He could have hit a few throws. He more than made a few during the game otherwise. Georgia pressured him as much as they did first time, but he responded this time. He moved up in the pocket and made throws. He scrambled out of the pocket and made throws. He played well. We can't complain just because he didn't make every throw. He made most of the throws he should have. More than enough to win the game. Lots of drops.

Quinn passed for something like 360 yards and a touchdown. Georgia QBs didn't. Quinn can't stop Etienne from scoring a touchdown in OT.

Phillip Rivers and Tony Romo amassed a ton of yards and TDs, but came up short when it counted. They have 0 combined Super Bowls. Stats are not as impressive as championships.

Quinn hasn't played a down in the NFL. As I said, he's been much been much better than Tom Brady in college despite Gerry saying he shouldn't even be drafted.

Quinn is mediocre QB. Quit whining…it’s the truth anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know what they’re watching. He is the weak link.

Is this the Dr. from Raymondville. If so are you back to your old ways doc?

All this arguing and bitching for nothing. Is quinn perfect? Heck no, But he’s our qb unless not healthy. I myself can’t wait to see arch full time, But not gonna constantly blame quinn for EVERYTHING.

Yeah no way I’m going to get that riled up over a 21 year old young man that has no idea I exist.  Love him, despise him, indifferent towards him, Ewers has done a great job of representing the University of Texas at Austin.

It'll be fun playing them next year (getting back on topic). 100% they'll be another tough out. We'll likely have 5 new starters on the OL. Hard to figure out who goes where.

LT - Goosby, LG N.Umeozulu, C - Cruz/Hutson, RG - Kibble/Chatman, RT - Baker/Agbo

Not sure how that plays out, but what I do know, is we need some road graders inside and right now the combination of Connor, Majors and Campbell doesn't seem to be getting it done. Got other guys there like Stroh, Cojoe that could all put their hand up for a spot. Be interesting to see in the spring.

Skill position wise, I'm not worried. Think we've got a bunch of dudes at TE, WR and RB. Arch at QB.

More so having to play them in their place (again?) will be tougher. Team next year has a lot of upside and potential, will be interested to see how they supplement that in the portal.

Though now I'm looking at the roster this year after some guys have left and I'm even more confused why Gullette decided to leave? We are very thing at LB once the season ends. there will only be 3 scholarship LB's on the roster with Hill, Lefau and Smith. Might have to rethink my stance on only taking one LB here.

Anyway, just talking out my ass now, lol.

I didn't say he shouldn't be drafted or won't be drafted. He absolutely will.

What I said, was if I was an NFL decision maker for a team... he wouldn't be my guy to draft at the position.

I hope Quinn gets it done in the playoffs, Texas wins an NC and Quinn has a great career.

With all that said, it's a playmakers position at the end of the day. When the s&!t hits the fan, it's what defines the position ... playmaking. And playmaking is at a premium in the red zone more than anywhere else in a sport when the going gets very tough. I truly hope Quinn delivers when Texas has to have the QB make the play.

On the same note can a wr get open in the redzone to help Quinn make a play so he's not having to make a sportcenter top 10 throw?

Just me, but you don't have to make SP Top 10 throws if you make the reads, have ball placement and be a playmaker in the RZ

I really feel like the constant injuries have really stunted his development & even comfortability on the field in general. He plays like he doesn’t want to get hit if he can help it, so he doesn’t step into many throws under pressure anymore. I really think he needs to bulk up to be able to absorb some of those hits, especially at the next level. That said, I do think he has displayed a level of toughness in spite of all that. I think if he played with more fearlessness but not reckless abandon (thinking about the time last year when he injured his shoulder trying to truck a guy) then I think he can find it & lead us to the natty. But I also wouldn’t be mad if the OL stepped up & gave him a nice clean pocket in the process lol.

Don't disagree. Quinn's had tough luck with injuries dating back to high school.

He played great between the 20's but man, when he got into crucial throws, he must've missed at least 3 or 4 TD throws on that short clip. I know the receiving room had some drops but in those crucial plays you always talk about, where he needs to make a play or be clutch, he seems to come up short.

Not sure what he was seeing on that dropped INT either. WR was double covered.

I hope Quinn gets it done! The question is .. is Georgia the only team that can affect Quinn to this level because their front seven is tremendous

Oh absolutely. Their LB's are ridiculous. I'm not sure anyone we play has their level of play in the front 7. That would include Oregon or Ohio State. Though Tennessee definitely has some dudes in their front 7.

One thing I'll note on those pass plays he missed, is he had enough time to find the right read. Looked like he got very jittery, though with how much pressure Georgia was getting, can't say I really blame him either, lol.

I agree. The dropped INT ... shallow crosser is a first down or right at the sticks after catching on the move and seeing the sticks. Those plays have to be made against a Georgia level opponent ... or in a crucial situation in the RZ.

Thing with Quinn is since he's not a playmaker with his feet, he has only one option to be a RZ playmaker. Has to see it, and make the throw with ball placement. Just very little margin for error.

I don't think you can compare QB play from late 90s to QB play of today with regards to stats....

I think legitimately in our side of the bracket Tennessee, Oregon, and Ohio St all can. Good thing those teams could potentially knock each other out. Of our side of the bracket Clemson also has the front that can do it. I don't know if they have the linebackers to be able to but they have a pretty good secondary.

Definitely can see Tennessee and Ohio State providing some of that. They have some singular players, and a defensive front that can create some issues. Georgia is just on another front 7 level because of the backers.

I may be wrong, but Oregon is just not good on D. Given up 30+ on all three opponents in the CFP.

I don't think their D is that great overall but their line does a good job of getting after the passer.
