Realist Horn
Coffee and Football peaked my interest when I heard Texas was talking to several players in the portal, but neither Gerry or Bobby could talk about it. I have no issues with Texas keeping these talks tight lipped until they close them. I have to think DTs are a priority. Clemson's DT, Washington State's DT, both are 6'2-6'3" and 305lbs. Not the size I thought they would go for, but they have experience. I read that Washington State DT was visiting a&m soon, assume he could swing by Austin before or after that. Do you guys have any speculation? Edited Thursday at 05:36 PM by Realist Horn
Bobby Burton
Doubt Washington State guy will be one. Not a run stopper per se.

I went onto Bert Auburns X page, it is embarrassing what fans are saying to him. I wish Bert well, and if he is our kicker next year we will root for him.

I know I am old and Old School on this, but even with players receiving NIL money, I think it's unbecoming behavior. Especially when you are allegedly a fan of a player or his team. Placekicking is like golf or even hitting a baseball. Mechanics and psychology involved and it's not as easy as it appears. And once you get into a slump it can be difficult to break out and get back into the groove. I'm pulling for Auburn and wish him the best but at the same time it's pretty clear he's fallen into the yips. Fingers crossed. 1
