Beyond just play on the field, Taaffe will be huge for the continuity of the culture in the locker room and behind the scenes. Taaffe was a 2nd team All-American as well. Now, it is all about finding his running mate in the back end. Will it be a healthy Derek Williams Jr., Jelani McDonald, or a young cat. Hogs up front with unique specialists everywhere to show so many incredible looks it has people seeing ghosts. PK makes inexperienced QBs look silly. Zacharyhorn Posted January 15 Share Posted January 15 I know Caleb Downs will be the odds on favorite next year for the Thorpe, but I still think Taaffe should at least be a finalist if he plays like he has done the past three years. Texas needs to put a video together of all Taaffe’s game changing plays over the years to help promote him for next year. Downs may be more explosive, but Taaffe has got to have more interceptions and more tackles than him. At least i would think he would as he has been at Texas longer than Downs at Ohio State.
