.45s Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Friday and Saturday will feel like 10 or 15 degrees at Disch-Falk, even with those new starting times. Saturday may be down the tubes because of potential rain and even some kind of freezing precipitation. Sunday will be reasonable weather, but still pretty chilly. I don't know Dartmouth's travel schedule but I wonder if they could fit in a double-header on Sunday if needed. We might go Sunday, but Friday and Saturday could be absolutely miserable in that stadium. Quote

texcoyote15 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Texas just going through the motions today. Walked a bunch of guys again today and have had several K’s against about the easiest pitcher they’ll probably see this year Quote
pinkman_90 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 30 degrees out playing a team of 5 foot nothing slap hitters and Spencer struggling to throw it over the plate. Quote
texcoyote15 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Ruger on to pitch. Spencer just couldn’t throw enough strikes Quote
pinkman_90 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Schloss going with the same strategy as Louisville and seems like same result. Ruger gets tired after a couple innings and struggles. All of these .120 hitter for Dartmouth are all over him. 1 Quote
Realist Horn Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Please use any remaining NIL to get proven relief. Quote
JMarquette Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Schloss left Rojas in too long again. Twice now. Quote
pinkman_90 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 #2 hitter ducked below every pitch with no intention of ever swinging. Ump lets him get away with a 4 strike walk. Quote
texcoyote15 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 RHP Thomas Burns transfer from Arizona State looks good today. He’s going to get some work this year. Texas wins an ugly one 4-3 Quote
Moderators Blake Munroe Posted February 21 Author Moderators Posted February 21 I know everyone’s going to say he was left in too long, but it’s also an incredibly difficult day to pitch regardless. I wouldn’t worry about Riojas. He will be fine. 5 Quote
HenryJames Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Trying to stretch Riojas more than two innings has cost them one game and almost cost them another. 1 Quote
Jerry K Posted February 21 Posted February 21 It’s early. Riojas will get better. Burns was solid on a really tough day to play ball. Quote

Whole heartedly agree on both points. Not only a really tough day to play, but a really tough day to pitch. Cold weather is no good. Burns came in and made his mark when it mattered the most. Quote
