I disagree, Arch is a new starter, but he's essentially a redshirt sophomore in year 3 of the system.  He'll make some mistakes, but he should be able to play at a fairly high level as well.  The rest of the team is fairly reloaded (less experience on the o-line for sure) so Texas should be able to compete.

I don't see how you can take nearly the entire OL, DT, WR starters, RB, TE, and DB losses and just say yeah, we can replace NFL guys with unproven players and be just as good. Arch will be fine, but he doesn't have any difference makers around him yet. Next year those young players will have talent + experience, but this year will be a growth year IMO.

That’s what they said last year.  Do you feel this way about Georgia and Ohio State?  Both programs lost a lot of key players and in Ohio State’s case, lost both coordinators and some position coaches too.

People who doubt the football culture in Norman are kidding themselves.  OU will be good again sooner than later.

They know football in Norman, and their guys will always consider the RRR as their yearly Super Bowl.

Ohio state has the best WR room in the country coming back. No comparison really. That offense is going to be salty no matter who is coaching. I don't know what Georgia has.

The guys on OTF are talking right now about 2026. It's clear that we'll be better in '26 than '25. This isn't really controversial in my view.

I think that’s just PTSD from the Stoops era beatdowns.  I get it though.  I just don’t see OU being that good on the reg anymore with NIL.  Jim Nagy was a good hire, but that’s not gonna save BV’s job imo.  I don’t think they’ll fall off as hard as Nebraska did, but I don’t see them being a national championship contender in the foreseeable future, especially if Texas and other major non-OU brands continue to pick off the DFW area.

That made me laugh out loud because you are probably correct to some extent.

I just know that there are a lot of people in Norman behind the scenes who understand the game of football and how to win.  We shall see.

Why is their QBs wearing guardian caps?

That is a very good question that I hadn’t thought of. Maybe he trips a lot?? Maybe, since he’s new, he just wants to fit in and be like everyone else?
