Moderators CJ Vogel Posted yesterday at 12:17 AM Moderators Posted yesterday at 12:17 AM Was the first in pads of the spring. Practice was held at DKR this morning as well. A quick nugget – RT Andre Cojoe saw time with the first team at right tackle during the team portion of practice at the end. There will be opportunities for both Cojoe and Brandon Baker at the right tackle spot this spring. Also, as you would expect, TE Spencer Shannon saw all first team snaps at TE with Jordan Washington sidelined for the spring. 17 2 Quote
Tuco Ramirez Posted yesterday at 12:39 AM Posted yesterday at 12:39 AM Thanks for the update CJ! Love the idea of two RTs getting quality snaps. Quote

Drunk randoke Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM I know Shannon and where he’s from and he hasn’t played much. What’s the analysis on him Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted yesterday at 12:47 AM Posted yesterday at 12:47 AM (edited) He’s definitely got the size to be an inline tight end, But i am curious about shannon’s athleticism at 6’7 250 plus pounds. Edited yesterday at 12:48 AM by NothinButDaHorns34 Quote
AusMOJO Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM Baker better be ready for a battle, because Cojoe is a big dude and he wants some playing time. 1 Quote

Haven't seen him do much at Texas, but his HS tape at Mater Dei would indicate he has some athleticism to him. If anything, at 6'7 250, you could be a massive redzone threat for Manning to just high point the ball and you go grab it. Quote

I think they had another TE who was the 'receiving' TE though? So the jury is out on whether or not he'll be a receiving threat at Texas. For comparison Gunnar Helm's numbers his last two years in Colorado were 58 catches for 781 yards. 1 Quote

Geoff Swaim is having a long NFL career and he hardly caught passes at Texas. 3 Quote

camridleyfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Geoff Swaim had more tackles (2) than he did TD receptions (1) at Texas Quote
