I can barely get myself to watch a few Rangers games a year, and that's only because I grew up watching them with my grandparents so it's more nostalgia than anything. I was on campus as a student during the 2005 national championship for baseball but never got into watching them. Goes to show how interesting of a story this season is if even I'm paying any attention at all to it. I understand about not liking all sports. I am a big baseball and football fan, but not much of a basketball fan. I have followed scores, etc., for the women's team this year but have not watched any games. The main reason I have even done that is because coach Schaefer was the assistant men's basketball coach for a few years for Boyce Honea at my high school and I had coach Honea as my coach when he was coaching JV baseball. Having grown up in Houston I was a bit of a Cougars basketball fan when I was young but haven't followed them much in years. I don't care for hockey or soccer either. Quote

He may need to. I don’t how you keep running Duplantier out there. Lifetime 190 hitter, currently at 120. It’s possible he could start hitting but nothing in his 3 years indicate that. I would give Winfield those at bats and see if he can break out. At ULM last year he hit over 330, with 10 HR, 40 RBIs and 18 stolen bases. He has struggled but still hitting 70 points higher than Duplantier and with more potential upside. This team is fun to watch though. I agree. Quote

I'm not a baseball guy either (don't watch MLB whatsoever) but it's the Longhorns in an otherwise dry part of the sports calendar. Baseball is also a nice sport to have on in the background while you tend to other things around the house! Definitely not glued to the TV like football. Quote
