It was more him tugging during rubs, i don't think that has anything to do with consent.

Funny...no outrage here... but Deshaun Watson... ah man. There always seems to be a difference in how things are handled or viewed, depending on who does what.

We know what happened to Kap. I also seen Nick Bosa make his statements with no outrage. So now... Tuck's got the same type of allegations that Deshaun had... but he's prepping the Ravens and the NFL at the draft. Tuck never deals with suspensions or none of that, this way. 

This is why I will type Amerikkka the way I do. There's always a hint of plausible deniability or a deflection that comes with it... but when it's clear and evident, I never let the moment pass.

I think it has more to do with Tucker being a former Longhorn on a UT message board than race. Just look at the minimum talk/outrage of Brooks DUI arrest where as if that was an Aggie the thread would be far longer ripping Aggie and tons of post about it.

While elements of what you say are true, I think it's more about who the people are.

For example, Bob Kraft got plenty of grief over his involvement in these types of places, although he apparently did so with consent. He was on the news over it for months.

DeShaun Watson did it without consent sometimes, allegedly.

Those two are/were the faces of a franchise. They have a much higher profile than Tucker. After all, Tucker is a kicker.

If Tom Brady did it, what do you think the media would do?

There's also the idea that Kraft was the first owner and Watson was the first player to have to bear such allegations. So the "newness" aspect drove some of the media narrative IMO. It's similar to the first time someone like Ray Rice did what he did during the Me Too movement.

As for the punishment phase, Tucker was just waived by his team after they looked deeper into the allegations apparently. What else could a team do?

My point is: I think there are certainly some elements of race as an issue in America that are valid. And part of what you wrote above is true.

But it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison like you make it out to be.

Again, America is not perfect. I'm just not so sure this is a shining direct example of what you speak.

High profile QB in Houston vs a really good kicker in Baltimore. One draws more eyeballs than the other. 

I don’t disagree with the sentiment though.

Brett Favre is still out there yucking it up after stealing millions while others haven’t been so fortunate.

So far no one has gone to jail. And all of Favre’s misdeeds were or came out after his playing days were over. And, yes, he’s a scumbag too.

I agree with most of what you said here, but I'd like to highlight a few things. Yes, Robert Kraft did face some scrutiny, but the level of scrutiny he received, compared to that of a  Kapernik or a DeShaun Watson, isn't comparable, at all.... and I think that's the problem. Robert Kraft is the owner of a franchise. All I heard was about the guaranteed $240 million he didnt deserve... but how much did Mr.Kraft make that he "didn't deserve" and other than a fine, what did he face? Chad Wheeler beat a woman unconscious. Ray Rices' transgressions in that elevator... which one was covered more? 

 

I only highlight these items because this, unfortunately, is the only way they change. Media is powerful, and the perceptions of many can be skewed depending on how they are shaped by the narratives provided. Wrong is wrong...doesn't matter who does it.

Rob got greif... Ray lost his career. Dana slapped the dog 💩 outta his wife and got a handshake from Donnie... who we know is the holy grail of Christians today. Craig Hodges handed the president a letter and disappeared. I can't use any black owners from these sports leagues for comparisons... they're aren't any available. I can say with confidence... he definitely would've gotten more than "grief"....🤷🏿‍♂️

Because the guy(s) that pay(s) them are not on the field making those plays.  It makes sense.  Most people I know watch these games to watch the players, not the coaches or front office executives (Nico Harrison might have something to say about that though).

  You know, if these guys were more comfortable with themselves as himan beings… they might know better how to respect women… and if they knew that they would probably get more happy endings and less legal problems.
