Born Burnt Orange Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM I have been a part of OTF for just under a year now and absolutely love it. The insight is amazing, yet unbiased and the depth of knowledge is unmatched to anything I have ever seen before. What I am curious about is do other programs have podcasts on this level? I am guessing if so, they are extremely few and far between. Also, is this funded by the Onefund at all or is this completely independent? I rarely make it to the live YouTube episodes but i listen to just about every episode on Spotify. Too bad this wasn’t around when I was in the Air Force stationed overseas. Thanks again for all you do. 6 Quote

Burnt Orange Horn Posted yesterday at 03:41 PM Posted yesterday at 03:41 PM OTF is all Bobby Burton and his team which he has carefully built. He is to be commended. The big breakwater was getting Gerry Hamilton on OTF, but everyone fits a critical role, even the guests. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿 3 Quote

Thanks again for all you do. OTF is the best Texas sports YT channel/podcast out there bar none. The other two that I listen to frequently are 1. Third & Longhorn, 2. Texas Sports Unfiltered with Brad Kellner and Bucky Godbolt in the morning (I don't like the other TSU segments other than Bucky and BK). T&L do excellent interviews with a broad variety of people involved with Texas sports with a football focus. Probably the best Texas sports longform interview forum, honestly. Their volume isn't high though, one or two episodes per week max I think. Rod Babers is involved with most interviews which is cool crossover with OTF. I think Bucky & BK are highly funny/entertaining, but it is less pure Longhorn focused and most of the episode is just them BSing. I generally just listen in after I've exhausted OTF content or there was a major event in UT sports and I want to hear a funny take. Bucky Godbolt is a former RB coach for UT- he was Ricky Williams' coach. Really funny guy 1 Quote

Once I started listening to OTF, that has been all I listen to. but my curiosity is are there podcasts on this level at other major colleges. When I was unfortunate enough to live in Oklahoma the sports animals (or something like that) was the big radio show. I couldn’t stand it. 1 Quote

Texas fan in Georgia Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Most schools have what’s called “locked on podcast” like “locked on bulldogs or locked on crimson tide etc etc.. there’s a guy that does locked on longhorns but I’m not too familiar with the new guy who hosts that podcast 1 Quote
Hookem72 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago OTF is the best by far. I think the others tend to parrot a lot of the takes that are circulated, but the team of CJ, Rod B, Jeff and Gerry offer really insightful and deep takes. I accidentally subbed for full payment instead of using the code and I don’t regret it. I get way more than my money’s worth with OTF. 1 Quote

There are a few others that push the envelope on podcast/video but not all that many across the country. Notre Dame is one I think does it well from a video/podcast perspective. There are aspects I like from several others. South Carolina has a really good one, for example. I feel like we may be the first ones to really put a lot of resources into podcasting/video, or as much into podcast/video as the website because that was a primary focus from the beginning. Thanks for asking btw. And thanks for the kind words, too. 3 Quote
