Some Texas fans are not built for this. We are not recruiting against TCU, K state, Baylor's of the world. We competing with programs that have won National championships in the last few years who have elite staffs too.... Gonna win some and lose some..... Sark will get his.

Win or loss the addition of Jonah helps this years class have more flexibility imo. Sark can pivot to a more developmental prospect or keep on Calicut, either way we shouldn’t be worried imo

Why would you respond to this news with the word “mayo”?

If it means brining in Benjamin I’m for it 🤷‍♂️

Benjamin is as talented as any DB in this cycle imo. He's a stud.

I have not been onboard and trusting a coaching staff in forever.... If Sark wants to give it a go I am good with it.... Like I said. Some Texas fans do not know how good we have it right now...

This is big boy SEC recruiting.... And North Shore has not been good to us... Onward

Yes sir, you are correct amundo.

And we continue to ignore Westlake even though we have 2 DEs and a really good safety (not offered) from there.  We stomped a mudhole in that "talented" NS team last year.  Is ANYONE from Westlake even being recruited?  Of course not.

Just the "talented" NS.

Scottie...beam me up

That's cool, so tell me who are all these great North Shore college football players? How have they worked out?

I see what you are saying but to me its not about what HS they are at. K'leveion Chasson (LSU) was a good college player. Sanchez has a ton of talent at osu.

I am torn on Chase, if in 2 years he has to move to LB, i like Calvin Thomas and Okpala better. Can Calicut play nickel? Maybe and i can see value there, if he can. Can he stay below 220# and be a boundary Safety? i see value there, if he can. Definitely a huge add on ST. Benjamin i really like at both Safety spots, and can play star.  Same with Riley but like him at Star the most.

Question is do we need to take 3 this year at Safety/Star? there was just an article on numbers being tight, makes sense if we stay at 85 scholarships and dont have a ton of guys exiting next year. Do we compete with UGA, UM for the larger than avg size $ required for Calicut? Obvi, whatever the staff wants to do but that can be debated both ways. Its not debatable for other targets on 😧 like the 5 DTs, Griffin/Atkinson/Rouse, Matthews, Henderson, Kreul IMO.

A bit surprising imo. Calicut had Texas as his favorite in the spring and I had heard the official visit went very well over the weekend. Georgia remains tough to beat and North Shore remains unfriendly to Texas.

Why is that?  Is there something intrinsic or cultural?  Or that’s just the way it’s turned out over the past few years.

Just the way it has turned out for Texas as of late.

All these North Shore guys that have gone other places and largely flamed out, all while Corey Redding remains the best player with the best pro career in North Shore history. And he did that at Texas.

Someone needs to change the narrative over there.

Damn, Bobby just went Kendrick Lamar on Zach Sanchez.

Or they can go to Oklahoma State with “I’m a man” Mike Gundy a la Bobby Reid

That depth chart CJ. What was he going to say post visit, “They got dogs at my position, and I’m not sure I’m that caliber of dog”
