Phil Steele has released his preseason SEC rankings and the Longhorns are No. 1. However, the chat (along with @Bobby Burton and @Gerry Hamilton) had a lot to say about the rest of the list. Given how tough the top end of our schedule is with Ohio State, Georgia, Florida, A&M and OU, it’s not a bad thing to have 4 SEC games against the ‘bottom 4’. Btw, I’d put the bottom 8 of the SEC against #5 to #13 of the Big 10 or #3 to #11 of the ACC or Big12 and SEC would likely have a better record. Lots of easy wins in the other 3 conferences.
