Red Five Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Just saw that Justin Leonard made the cut and is at even par. I don't follow golf all that closely but I haven't heard his name in a long time. 2 Quote

I can't imagine being that good that you can make a 4-under round look ho-hum. Incredible! Edited 21 hours ago by GetHooked 4 Quote

Like many requirements at UT, the class was large. It was held in the auditorium of the Art Building across the street to the North from Memorial Stadium. The professor was Dr Norman Brown and one of my classmates was Ben Crenshaw. At the time, Crenshaw was the better known of two All American golfers for the UT Men's Golf Team, with Tom Kite being the other team member. Crenshaw and Kite have been followed by a long line of accomplished championship players in college and on the PGA Tour. Scottie Scheffler is the latest and currently the most famous of the World #1 ranked professionals to have come through the Forty Acres and played for the University. In September, Scottie will represent the USA in the Ryder Cup competition. Best wishes to Scottie in the final round of the Open Championship on Sunday and the Ryder Cup this September in New York.
